I received a robo-call after hours at my work number asking to verify my name. On the heels of that call I received second afterhours call that left this phone number plus a "personal ID number"....hmmmm not so personal if they leave it on the common voice mail where anyone can access it! looked up the phone number & noticed that it was similar to last years United Health Care info fishing scam! watch out! the real UHC has my email address & home phone number...I don't give my work number out as a contact number to anyone! A website called Mr. Number reports that "866-683 is not a valid prefix. If you are sure that you got a phone call from a number beginning with this prefix, the caller may have 'spoofed' caller ID"...so BEWARE!

it is United Healthcare calling.  They were calling to tell me of the importance of scheduling a mammogram.

This is a phishing call they represent as United Health and are requesting DOB and other personal identification.
Its fraud. No provider will ask for personal information on an inbound call

thanks to all--I didn't pick up this call today. But it called me yesterday robotically, and identified itself as United Healthcare. Then asked by name if I am (my name). I answered yes, thinking that it was going to tell me to get a flu shot or something. When it asked for my date of birth, I hung up. Now I more or less memorized the number so I won't answer it again, ever.
