- FederalPrisonCopThis is Social Security's "Ticket to Work" Program. They are trying to see if you are willing to go back to some type of work or get work-related training, so you can get a job that will supplement your disability claim.
- Caller: Social Security
- Oracle| 4 repliesThis is Take Charge LLC.... they are NOT the Social Security Administration. They are an LLC, (Limited Licensed Corporation) who attempts to get you to sign up for their program, which allows them to retain a 25% percent fee for doing what you can do on your own. To get you back working if you are on disability..
- Caller: Take Charge , LLC
- absolutely no oneSocial Security's Ticket to Work idiots. Number showed up as 172591306..not even a real number, which means they have a number generator. They did leave a voicemail though. Doubt it is even who they say they are either. I am also on the do not call list, which this is a clear violation of.
- Caller: Social Security Tickt to Work Program
- Call type: Telemarketer
- anonI don't have SSI, so it would help me. Just some scammers who used a number generator. Caller ID is 172591306, and they tell me to call the 8667011700 to get some amt of money if I am disabled.
I wish they would stop calling.- Caller: Ticket to Work/SSI contractor
- Jamsey| 3 repliesLooks pretty bogus to me, I got the call and it was a recorded message for a "ticket to work' program for disabled people. I called the number to ask them to remove my number from the call list. I got a recording that 866-701-1700 was disconnected...dead end.

- AnonymousThese programs are scams. If someone is able to truly work and make a good salary, employers would be all over them.
These programs force someone truly disabled to do MORE work who are already having a hard time because of someone else's greed who wants to take advantage of these individuals to gain a 25% cut which turns out to be very lucrative from them because of the robocalls for people who don't understand what they are getting into.
Disability gives health insurance as well. Why should someone use such a program and give someone ELSE 25% (1/4) of your salary you make. That adds up to a lot of profit for them, and nothing for you, you will wind up making on par with what you had on disability, and work harder just because of the self interest of the EN which was registered to make profit and cut Social Security expenses. - Lala| 1 replyOk first of all, the DNC list only applies when a company calls WITH THE INTENT TO SELL...loopholes loopholes. Second, when you are contacted in regards to assigning your ticket to an Employment Network, such as TakeCharge, LLC, it's because 1) the Social Security Administration gave you a Ticket to Work, and 2) they want you to use it. If you do not receive SSI/SSDI benefits, than disregard the calls. Or if it bothers you that much, contact the SSA, let them know you're not on SSI/SSDI benefits, and to remove your phone number from their systems. Maybe someone who had your number previously was on SSI/SSDI, and didn't update their info...who knows. Now if you do receive SSI /SSDI benefits, and you don't want the SSA to share your info, you need to take it up with the SSA. Lastly, EN's offer different things such as job training or placement assistance, or additional monetary assistance. What people fail to forget is the assistance is an incentive for wanting to work towards self sufficiency. Explore different EN's or VR's since they offer different things for ticket holders. Ask what their qualifications are, and ask yourself if it's something you're comfortable with. Be sure you're a good fit for the program before assigning your ticket, that way the program will benefit you.
- LalaOh and to anonymous up there...EN's don't take salary. They're government funded programs. I can't speak for other networks, but the one I work for keeps 25% of the check WE issue, and the other 75% goes to the client. This is in addition to earnings from employment, and in some cases, SSI/SSDI checks. Like I previously said not everyone is a good fit for these programs, but keep in mind these people already have a Ticket to Work. Meaning they're already employed, or plan to try hard to go back into the workforce. We don't push clients to do anything, but they do have to meet certain qualifications in order for an EN to work for them. Again as previously mentioned, EN's offer different things. Explore different networks and what each one offers.
- jmhttp://www.ssa.gov/work/ has the phone number and email to contact and optout. Call and ask to do not solicit. mention the take charge calls.
http://www.aaatakecharge.com/contact.html is the contact info for take charge. They can delete your number from their dialer instantly. But if you don't call the ssa number from the above url, the ssa will update take charge with your number again, so the calls will restart every year. - Bufus replies to Oracle
- Kelley| 3 repliesI got a call from this 1-866-701-1700 but the voice is altered, it sounds like a ransom call for $19,000. Who are these people and how can I get rid of them, they really scared my daughter?
- Caller: Take Charge, LLC
- No one you know replies to KelleyI just got the same call and voicemail as I didn't answer being I didn't recognize the number. I'm not easily creeped out, this voicemail creeped me out! Exactly, it sounded like a ransom call with a distorted/evil voice and all I could make of it was the phone number at the end of the message which brought me here on doing a search.
I'm not calling it back nor will I answer if it calls again.
JUST BEWARE; Times are changing, who knows what gives with the "system" and what they're doing. HIDE, don't answer or say anything to these people.
Take care, be safe;-) - Tausha KisnerI received a call left on my voicemail yesterday, 1/10/2014. The voicemail sounded like a ransom call. It was very scary. I could hardly tell what most of the message said but what was clear was "$19000 dollars" and "call 18667011700/ The phone # on my caller ID was 6172591325 listed under "Take Charge, LLC" well I know that LLC is a small company and obtaining an LLC is EXTREMELY SIMPLE. The message was terrifying at first. I believe that it is a scam. The voice was changed to sound like a ransom call and I will NOT REPLY. I urge you to not reply also.

- AnonymousJust received a war dialer call from a machine redirecting me to this number. I am a register Do Not Call amongst other things and have been for some time. If these people call you, and you did not give them your phone number, please report them - especially if you are registed on the Do Not Call List (Link for those interested, it's free: https://www.donotcall.gov/). This is the second time they've contacted me, this is the second number that was a registered Do Not Call, and last time their rep gave me a load of nonsense about how they are legally allowed to by the government which is a false claim.
TL;DR: Telemarketers breaking the law - report them and go about your business.
If someone calls you or advertises to you, the following is something you should know...
1. If you file a complaint and request to removed from a marketing list, any place that uses that marketing list (whether private or public) can no longer call you. Doing so qualifies as harassment.
2. It is illegal for telemarketers to contact you at your workplace or during strange hours (so if you get a call at 2 AM. You can actually call the police on the telemarketer.).
3. War Dialing amongst some other telemarketing actions is highly illegal in the United States and even in some other countries last I heard. If you notice someone else gets the same call (I've seen this happen before), please report the number as this person is calling everyone and everything in the US regardless of what is on the other side.
4. The State Attorney Generals, Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Better Business Bureaus (BBB), and the Police may be interested or want to hear from you if any business is abusing their rights to advertise. Be sure to keep full documentation of the event but do bear in mind your methods of doing so are limited (You can't record a call, for example, without getting the other person's consent.).
5. Some laws are in fact present and have been present for some time against various times of marketing in general. For example, any place that faxes you an advertisement must have a fax removal service amongst many other pieces of information.
I work for a mental health counseling agency and take it very seriously when someone tells me they are to be removed from our contact list - no matter how rude, vulgar, or obscene they are (Although I do appreciate it when you ask nicely.). It is the responsibility of the marketer to address any needs or concerns the callee has.
Do your research, protect yourself, and don't put up with rude individuals.- Caller: Take Charge LLC

- Judy replies to Jamsey| 2 repliesGuys it's not bogus!! I'm on social security and you can check out the ticket to work program yourself if you have any doubts....just go to www.choosework.net and it's really a great program....there are companies out there that help you get jobs and work from home if you need to. Don't sell it short....check it out.
- Judy replies to Judy| 1 replyNow that 866-number I think is AA Take Charge and I do not know a great deal about them but I do know about the ticket to work program and it's fabulous!!!
- Judy replies to JudyOh one more thing, I assigned my ticket to NTI and although it may take awhile to get a job they are very thorough and professional and even having training available to those who may need it. I, too, thought it was all a big scam at first then decided to call social security and asked them about it and they explained it and verified that NTI was a legitimate company. All I can say is I sure was glad I called!
