Said I had not won, but would be entered in contest and notified if I win a Lincoln Navigator, $45,000 or other prize.

Original call came from Alex at 512-436-0027 Texas as listed on my caller ID.  Said I had entered the contest, which I have not, and was a winner and congratulations. I was to call Michelle Bentley at 1-800-821-3984.  I called that number and left a message sine I got the answering machine.  Received a call from 312-288-8698 identified as an Illinois call on my ID and was asked to call 1-866-718-9550.  Called that number and talked with Michelle who verified my name and address; did not ask for any other information and she made the above statement in the first paragraph.

I assumed this was a scam and had contacted out Better Business Bureau who said the numbers were out of their area of responsibility, but if I could furnish them with an area code they could refer me to the proper department in that area.

Same here, except I got a call from Jim stating that I was getting entered in the final contest. Thankyou everyone for letting me know this is a scam.
The only information they provided me with, was information on my phone bill.

Received same call saying I had won and had to go to Washington DC to claim my prize and in addition they would give me a blackberry pearl phone for my travel - again I never entered a contest!

I received calls and messages several times from some shmoe claiming to be handing out a Lincoln Navigator and that I had entered a sweepstakes.  First of all, I NEVER entered a sweepstakes. Second, the caller NEVER actually mentions my name specifically - that's the giveaway (so to speak). It is most certainly a scam run by crooks and knuckleheads. The number I was told to call is 866-718-9550 for any of you receiving the same message - DON'T call it.
