phone rang several times number showed up on my called id but they did not leave a message

A company called 'Allied Interstate' trying to "collect" a bogus debt.

Received a message asking me to return a call regarding a DEATH in my family.
They need information.

They called an elderly gentleman I keep an eye on late in the evening while he was asleep in his chair and demanded credit card payment for a late verizon bill. He did it nad then realized it must be a scam and canceled the credit card. They would not tell me today what it was.

they just keep calling. If I answer, there is no one there! they never leave a message!

The number 866-720-1471 has been calling me for months.  I have it on reject but now they are leaving messages for me to call.... I saw that it was a bogus call trying to collect a debt.

I got a call from this phone number 1-866-720-1471. They claimed themselves as collectors but it was a scam they were trying to get personal information do not trust these people there scam artist.

Today (April 11th, 2009) I have received 3 phone calls through out the day, all the same exact number and all show up on my caller id as Allied Interstate.  The first time I stay on for 5 minutes so I could tell them to take my number and name off their list, that was 3PM.  Then around 6PM the phone rang, it was "Allied Interstate" again.  I hung up.  Just now, I hung up after waiting for 26 minutes and 47 seconds so I could talk to the ungrateful prick that is calling my house when my little one in sleeping! WTF!

Have gotten several calls from 866-720-1471.  When I answer the phone it rings once (one their end) and then goes to music.  I hang up.  Have not talked to anyone yet, if they call again I'll wait and see if someone comes on the line.

same here i got a new tmobile number last week, 3 days after my number was up and running i star getting calls from that same number, and they never leave a message, i did call them back and told them that im a male and they calling a female, that i just got that numbers, a few hours they call again, and the same, after like 6 more call i call them and i tell them i was going to put a lawsuit to them they say it will not happen again that was 4 days ago until right now just got another call from those people again, i have no other way to get rid of this people, if it was my deb is ok but i have nothing to do with this company, if there is a law or something that can help to resolve this issue please post it here. thanks.

I have been receiving calls from this # for many, many months. They claim that I owe them money for an AOL account that I closed years ago, and they want a credit card # to close the debt. They threaten reporting me to a credit agency. I do not think I owe the money. I tell them to mail me something and I will pay it, but I will not give my credit card over the phone. They are really annoying, and really persistent.
Don't trust these people!

They keep calling me too but no one is there. I call back, it rings then turns into a busy signal

they keep calling regarding an old aol invoice i no nothing about. the call up to ten times a day, 7 days a week and start at 8:00am and call until 9:15pm. i ask for a copy of the invoice and i am always told no, they don't have any.

i just received another call from Victor @ aliied regarding an outstanding aol invoice. he won't help with information and when i raised my voice regarding the issue he hung up.this has to stop!!!!!!!!!!!
i am going to psot every phone call form allied starting today,i won't be harrassed or bullied by these people. Shame on youand your company.

This number has already called 4 times this morning. I answered once, heard a ringing tone and hung up.

They start calling every day at 8:07 AM and usually call 2 more times in the day. Is there somewhere this cab be reported so it can be stopped? I first got calls from 866-720-1467, caller ID Telemarketing. Today it started with 866-720-1471, caller ID Allied Interstate.

They called me, but I just picked up the phone and immediately hung up without putting the phone to my ear (ala Archie Bunker), like I do with most 1-866 numbers. I don't care about etiquette, obviously. Then I registered a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry, which we should all do to alert the Government.

We have received several calls from 866-720-1471.
They always ask for me and wouldn't tell my wife what they wanted.
When i was present on two occasions the person told me that i owed a overdue bill from aol, which was incurred over 9 years ago.

these people call me ever day. once i was home to pick up and they asked for Veronica who used to be my next door neighbor. i told them that she did not live here nor ever did. they still call me every day. what do i have to do? i thought about threatening to cut out their livers.

these people call me 3 or 4 times a day when i answer they will not say anything but they always keep calling back this pisses me off
