I called the Farmers Merchant bank and the poor woman who answered the phone said I was the 13th phone call she got about the same thing, and it was only 9.15am! They're trying to fix the problem, I bet they're even more aggravated than we are...

I'm also getting these messages and I too live in So Cal with a sprint account. I signed onto my sprint account online and blocked the text. You can block and entire domain from sending you text messages. For example, you can block messages from "@fmb.com"

Hi all... just read what you all wrote... my husband is a truck driver and he has a cell phone issued through his company. Other drivers in the past have been issued this same phone also. At first I thought it was from a collections for one of the past drivers but wasn't. My husband has been getting the same messages like you for the past 2 weeks.
A few min. ago I went on line and emailed FMB and told them they had the wrong person, (gave them all the info that was in the im message) and to stop sending the im's. Maybe E1 should send them an email too to let them know what is happening to us and many others on receiving these dumb ass im's each day and they are using their good bank name to do all this crap with...
    Thanks for reading....

Yes I've kept getting these stupid things , each sent by a different spam email from fmb.com, all with different 888 numbers at the bottom...I've googled the whole 'fmb spam and sprint' thing and a LOT of stuff comes up. Any good ideas on how to stop this crap? I havent called any of the numbers, and I never reply to spam emails.

=_= this is seriously getting out of hand. And yes, I do have Sprint.

I am reposting this message for each phone number I recived a text message from in order to help inform others and help prevent people from losing their identities.

I have received about 12 text messages since June text messages all supposedly from Farmers and Merchants Bank. Each time they request that I call back their toll-free number, which constantly changes, in order to reactivate a debit card.  It's driving me insane. They are wasting my text messages and it's a blatant scam. My cell phone is from Sprint with a CA exchage, too. I've called them and they can't seem to block anything.  My guess is they sold our numbers to a variety of companies and now we're getting screwed.  I demanded that Sprint credit me for each text as I do not have unlimited texting.

I called 4 of their numbers last night from a pay phone. One came up as disconnected, the other 3 said service was unavailable.

    Each message also says it's coming from a different email address. Here's the list: qybnnc@fmb.com, lqowqe@fmb.com, urpmvh@fmb.com, dlcqsm@fmb.com, sstiis@fmb.com, pnqkqu@fmb.com

    Here are the phone numbers they gave: 888-995-3339, 888-534-7944, 888-510-2724, 866-720-6282, 888-505-5780, 888-490-4578

I report all messages to www.donotcall.gov and send emails to phishing-report@us-cert.gov

I have and account with F&M and there is a warning on the door to the bank regarding this scam, apparently many ATM and Credit card numbers were used over the fourth of July weekend and it is creating quite a nightmare. I was told by the bank that the FBI is looking into and I that they are. Times are hard enough without being inundated with this sort of thing.

I've been receiving texts from fmb.com about once a business day, and I too have Sprint and live in southern California. I think the [***] responsible is changing tack because I just received a text from firstfederal.com also claiming my Farmers and Merchants Bank debit card has been deactivated. Thanks to Lisa for pointing out I can block these annoyances.

I had the same problem you all have had except it was from a Bruceton bank. They keep texting and I am also a sprint customer from WV. This really needs to stop. Maybe I need to switch phone servers....This is ridiculous.
