called looking for wife when told not available, want to leave a message the hung up. Call back and asked to speak to a supervisor who was fluent in english, they hung up again...

The caller claims to be a "Financial Institution" called Plaza Assoc. in NY.  they are calling for some one with the same first initial of my daughter and the same last name.  I have explained over and over that they have the wrong number.

Yeah I have same problem. It seems these days it is not a good idea to list an initial instead of your full first name because these companies immediately begin calling trying to match up all sorts of people with that initial and last name. Mine is A and I have gotten phone calls for Anthony, Alison,Aluoetta, Astrid, etc.

My daughter is either going to include her first name or change to unpublished/unlisted.  Good luck.

these people call me all the time asking for the previous owner of the number i have now. i explain to them that the previou owner doesnthave this number but they say well take you off our caller list but they dont and i get calls daily from them

The latest scam from the buyers of old debts (legally uncollectable due to the statute of limitations), is to call and speak with you... if they can show a court, their phone records showing they had (in fact) spoken with you,
all they need to do then- to resurrect the old debt, and restart the statute clock, is swear that you made a promise to pay.. of course that would be a lie.. try and get the ruling reversed..???????. They now can legally harass you for the next 3-5 years, on a debt that was legally a dead issue...
