- deannathis company is rude and i do not owe them anything.
- MPYeah, I just got my new number and had it about a month. I had been getting so many calls that I eventually created a message on my answer machine telling all callers that this is a new number as of 3/28/08. That seemed to work for a while and while I was still getting a million calls and it did eventually taper off, mostly everyone stopped leaving messages and recently I noticed that the messages have been turning into long holds and I knew it would only be a matter of time before they could no longer resist again and start back leaving messages and they did. So despite the fact that I even registered my number with the do not call. I got a message from a Jessica at this number yesterday saying that it was not a solicitation and she needed to speak to me about a business matter. Well frick you Jessica, you do not even know my name you a-whole. It looks like you only partially got the message it said that called trying to reach someone at this number prior to 3/28 that person no longer has the number and it has been reassigned to me now as my new number. We kudos to the person who got rid of the number. From the amount of calls and people harassing them I can see why they changed. But unfortunately for me it is been a BEACH trying to get them to stop and I do not feel like paying to change my number only to have to repeat this all over again. Get a clue idiots you are reaching the wrong person and soon as those 31 days has pass your ass is getting reported solicitations or not the number is not for anyone you do not know at the number and you do not have the right to demand that another person call you no matter how important it is it has nothing to do with me since I have no clue who you are or what the person before me had to do with you etc...!
- Caller: Just said Jessica
- DanielleIt is a collection agency. I have only had my number a few months, and I received a few calls this past week. All I did was call back and tell them that the person they are trying to reach does not have this number anymore, and the woman politely apologized and said that they must have older contact information for the man they are trying to reach, and she said she would update the records. Also, I think the voicemail they leave is automated, so it might be easiest to call and speak with someone directly to resolve the situation.
- CarolRecieved a call from a woman looking for my son. She would not leave her company name, just that her name was Rosalyn and the extension was 104. I told her I would pass the number on. Never give out the number of whoever these people are looking for!!
- WilliamI got a call from them this morning at 8am. I work the graveyard shift and don't get off until 6. I was a little peeved. They just left a message that said, "it is important that we speak with you"
- Someone that knows....| 6 repliesThis is Amsher Collection Agency....
They are trying to collect debts. Pay your bills and you won't get called. - SharonWe DO pay our bills; we DON'T have outstanding, old bills; our kids haven't lived here for 4 years; these guys NEVER leave a message. If it's that important, and if they're legit, they need to leave a message!
- Caller: ACS
- CAMThey are calling here trying to collect on a debt that is 14 years old and has already been taken care of.
- Caller: toll free service
- JadeCalled my wife's cell phone twice. I returned the call to find them looking to clear a debt balance on a CapitalOne card that was over 10 years old!
Stated very clearly that this balance was 10 years old and therefore past the 7-year financial records limit, and the woman simply said 'Thank you, goodbye.', and hung up. We'll see if they take the hint.- Caller: Amsher Collections
- MarkJessica called this morning, I need to talk with you, call me at 866-732-1626.
- Caller: Unknown
- MarkCalled today, asked me for the last 4 digits of my SS#. I told them I wasn't going to give that to them. They gave the incorrect digits and I said that wasn't mine. They told me they didn't belieive me, asked for my birthdate that I didn't give them they hung up. I think the best thing to do is talk to them without giving any information just to take up there time.
- AshlynThey call me everyday. I am making payment on some hospital bills that I owe. I hope they did not turn them over to collections. However, if they really wanted to reach someone, why doesn't a REAL person call you??? All I ever get is a recording saying, "This is Jessica it is important that you return my call" blah, blah, blah...This is a crap shoot. Oh and I read that they buy debts from agencies and make money from your claim...Well, crap on them.

- consumer| 6 repliesYou all sound like a bunch of crying babies that dont pay your bills. If you paid your bills you wont get any calls
- Ignorant people (@ Consumer) replies to consumerJust because a debt collector calls you doesnt mean you dont pay your bills. Bill collectors have wrong #'s all the time. You must do this for a living if your going to call people cry babies. How about you stay off these sites and stop harrassing people with your ignorant beliefs
- just meWe don't have any debt but they informed us they were looking for a relative of ours. I informed them that we would not be giving out any information for them and to please not call again. Lady was not that happy with hearing what I had to say but I will just keep saying it as I am sure they will attempt to call again!

- TiredOldManJessica has called months ago, and I am well acquanted with Jessica's voice. ACS and I have a long history. Jessica called recently for the first time after a long rest. I owe nothing now, I have never owed ACS anything, ACS is looking for an adult child of mine who does not live with me. Typically Jessica does not stop calling me even when I supply what information I know, ACS simply calls back and complains that the phone number I provided is not being answered. All my children have caller ID. ACS pretends that I have withheld information or gave false information or am misrepresenting where that child lives. I have shut down to Jessica, ACS and other bill collectors calling me about my family and neighbors (yes neighbors too). When accidentally reached, I tell the live person that the person that they have asked for does not live in my home, I am not anyone's secretary, and to stop calling me about people who do not live with me. I doubt it will help. It has been my sad experience that bill collectors have become souless monsters, they didn't used to be such uncaring animals.

- JoanWe got one of these calls today telling my husband and me to call them back. We have an excellent credit rating - why should we call them back? We always pay our bills on time. This is kind of scary to me.

- Annie@consumer...you are WAY off! These collection agencies call people all the time for no reason just trying to find some sap sucker who will cave under their pressure and hand them money!! So until you know everybody's situation, I suggest you keep your mouth shut!
- Jo replies to consumerWell you may want to not include or assume that because we get the harassing calls that we owe or don't pay our bills. e get the calls because of my sister's ex husband! o I think we have a right to, how was it you phrased it? Cry like a baby?! She divorced him she should be able to put it behind her and not have it constantly dredged back up!! And due the fact that we have had number for 13yrs and have ailing parents just" simply" changing the number is not an option and should not have to happen. So why you jump to conclusions we'll holler, yell and cry like babies.
