Got a robo call from 330-433-5813 half an hour ago. It gave 866-743-8547 as a call back #. A little online sleuthing says it does appear to be a collection agencey for GE sponsored Sams Club/Discover. We now owe them a whopping $40 because someone dropped the ball and didn't cash the $15 account pay off check last month. Other family and friends' past experiences with Discover illustrates that anything connected with overdue payments tends to boot you directly into collections, after a nasty late fee. So guess what card is getting canceled today?

NEVER call back anyone who calls you and give them personal or account info. If you need customer service, the # should be on the back of the card. These collection agencies are sleazy and sneaky.

got 2 calls today so far.. didn't answer because it didn't have a name and they didn't leave a message..after cking on here found out it was Sams club .I owed them 30.00 and since I was late plus late charges. Can you guess whos card will be cut up and not renew membership..I don't need to pay to shop places that harass over $30.00

I received multiple calls too, including evenings.  I did not bother to answer because my caller id showed no number and no messages were left.  Got on this site and found out the number was discovercard/sam's club.  My issue was the same.  I had a $20.00 late fee, which I found out when I called Discover Card on a different matter.  It was interesting because I thought I had paid on time, and they took care of the matter.  Discover should do their own calling and leave a name and message.  They should do something this number.  Same here about dumping the card.

I believe this is a fake company trying to rip people off.

Interesting. I just talked to Sam's club about billing and permanent credit cards that have not  been sent. Maybe that is who called me from 866-743-8547?  Thank you I may cancel as well.

I'm getting calls from this number even though my husband is the one with the Sam's Club credit card. My name is not on the credit card, as he signed up for it for his business. I think they found me through the fact that I had a membership with Sam's Club, and he was listed as a member under my membership. When I shopped there I just used cash or a debit card. So basically I'm getting harassed even though this card is not in my name.

Received call, said it was from GE Capital/Discover Card for Sams Club.  I have never owned a credit card nor belonged to Sams Club.  I am reporting to the proper authorities.

This is Sam's Club Discover/ GE Capital credit card accounts.  What is absolutely amazing is I've paid my balance in full every month for five years except this past one, and now they are calling me about a payment.  This is why I'm zeroing out my balance and have cut up the card.

They called today (Sunday) at 2PM. No message. Caller ID said the 866 number. We have the minimum payment set up automatically, in case we get busy. Then we pay off the balance every month. Is this actually from GE Capital, or a SPAM. I am not calling anyone.

I got call from this number 1 866 743 8547 no one say anything so I let it hold for a long long time so their recording tap will run out. I hope they will never call you back.

I keep getting calls regarding a Sam's Club card.  I am not a member of Sam's Club and do not have a card.  This phone number is listed on the do not call list.

It is a recorded message asking you to call 8667438547.  They say they represent Sams club MasterCard and they are Symphony Bank. When you call the number, again a recording asking for your credit card number. Sams club told me to only use the 800 number on my card and that they don't recognize that number.

Sam's Discover???  Card changed to MasterCard several years ago. Who are these individuals? Refuse to answer no CID. Looked up on Google

Got a call today. Caller ID showed Syncrony Bank. Automated call.  They left a message saying it was regarding my Sam's Discover card and left 866-743-8547 to return the call.  I called the number on my actual credit card for Sam's and was told there is nothing on my account indicating a reason for them to call me and this return number I was given is not a Syncrony Bank number.   NEVER call the number back that the message indicates!!!!  Get your actual credit card and call that number.  You know for sure who you're talking to then and if there is an issue with your account they would have record of it.

Stop this calling or lawers will get involved!

Got one of these  calls too. No message what the call is about. So, for that very reason, I am NOT returning the call. They can send me a letter if they need to contact me, and at least tell me why the call.  Another scam no doubt...

I received robo call two days in a row from 866-743-8547 They wanted my Sam's account number , then my social security number or last 4 digits of it.  I waited several minutes thru prompts w/o answering their questions till I got to a voice named Victor.  I asked him to take my name off his list.  Or unsubscribe me.  I think like others they find the numbers when an account is under some scrutiny or late payment.  .

Call from Synchrony Bank. Got one from an Ohio number and one from this 866 number. Both calls leave the same automated message about calling back on the 866, a website, and a mailing address. My calls were about 3 hrs apart. I've reported both numbers to the FCC. FYI - the real number posted on Sam's Club website is not this 866 number so don't go calling back!

Hi there people :) I work for synchrony bank, we finance the sams club card, it is not a scam and we are trying to collect because you’ve gone past due. The calls are automated and they send out immediately after an acct has gone past due. Please don’t take it out on the employees we don’t control it. Have a nice day <3
