Caller identifies self as Robert Cohen and that he has authority to contact his counsel to begin litigation to proceed on debt collection. The caller does not identify the company they are with.

Same Robert Cohen.  Allegedly represents Advanta Credit Card.  Threatened to force company into involuntary bankruptcy.  I guess he will save the company the filing fee since it have no assets to liquidate.

A men by the name of Rothburg call my work and left a message with a file number and said he need it statement from my referemce pendig law suit.

Called my house at 8:07 am on a Saturday morning! Probably Advanta as the others said. Didn't answer the phone since it was so early and we were sleeping in after a late night. However, on the voicemail they said their client had given them authority to settle my debt for a "fraction" of the indebtedness". ;-)

Call and automated message just came in on my cell phone which that number is never given out so it has to be a autodialer just running one number after another. I have never had any dealings with Advanta! I have found that the new game is to send out to everyone one these "Claims" and if like most people you ignore it since it is not anything that you think applies to you.
They know that this is what will happen 95% of the time. What most people do not know that the law is against the private individual and if you do not dispute it with in 30 days even if it is totally false it is then considered a valid claim!!!
This is just plain wrong folks. The law needs to be changed so that companies that are bottom feeders can't extort money from innocent people. If you research this you will find there are many of these highly aggressive hostile collection companies out there operating and they don't care if it is a valid debt or not, they'll even use the internet to find your neighbors and call them using embarrassment as a tool or rather weapon against people. I have received no letter from these people yet since they are just trolling with an automated dialer to have gotten the number they called in on, I may never get one from this one. The letter that you have thirty days to respond to is sometimes not actually sent out. They just say they sent a letter and have a notary on staff that just sits and stamps and no real letter is sent. They save a lot on postage that way!!!  All I can say is beware the law will help the robbers rob you even when you are completely innocent!! I have had the unfortunate "Luck" of having somehow gotten on a list somehow and have been attacked by two of these thug agencies before. I think from my research that they have gotten people names and information from real estate closings from some really bad law firms that run some of these collection companies from creating corporations that as soon as a Attorney General locks in on them they fold it up and make another. Our legal system is being used as a tool to extort money from the innocent common people and you better learn this fact for those letters and have a "Cease & Desist" letter that you send certified ready to go. They will stop then, but probably pass you info on to another for them to try!

At first I got a voicemail from whom i dont know the number saying that he she wanted me to call them to talk about how dangerous debts are. Then I got a call from this number 18667577243 the person said he was tony boulvard. He didnt tell me the company.

I had an automated voice, asking me to clear some debt and that this was a collection call.

Automated message to press '1' if you are the person, etc.

call and ask to speak to the owner of our company asked what it was about she hung up on me never gave me a name
