- critchley| 3 replies3 calls with no one speaking & one call where "a representative is unavailable"
- ShonuffI received calls from this number for 3 consecutive days. The 1 time that I answered no one said anything and I hung up.
- Sideshifter2 calls today, 3 yesterday, 8 over the past two weeks. Hangs up after second ring, call back busy
- BevHOw do we stop these hang up calls?
- ndpendentme| 8 repliesReceived several calls over the last couple of days - all "hang ups". I called the number back and the voice mail identified the company as "Nuance". Anybody know this company? The voice mail said to be removed from their call list to please enter your 10-digit phone number. I'm not very trusting of that.
- Caller: Nuance
- Lynn| 3 repliesThis is the second call in three days. I did not answer as I did not recognize the phone number. Both times no one left a message. Since they are calling my cell phone that I use for my business, I am not pleased. My cell phone recognizes my customers. I don't appreciate individuals/orgainizations or companys who call cell phones without the owners permission. Think about it, we pay a lot of money for cell service and for some of us, a certain allotment of minutes per month. Answering a call where no one answers or hangs up substracts valuable minutes from us.
Nuance, from what another caller identified, sells software. One in particular is called PaperPort Professional 11. I know this because the company I work under uses the software. The owner of the business upgraded over a year ago. Recently, I have been receiving several e-mails from Nuance avertizing to upgrade. The funny thing is, it is not my choice but the owner's of the business. I will reply to Nuance to remove me from their e-mail list and advise the owner of the business I work under of the harassing calls. Thanks for the information.- Caller: Unknown
- Marilyn| 1 replyDefinitely Nuance. They are probably trying to sell you a Paperport upgrade. I get email from them all the time but don't know how they got my cell number.
- DianaYes, this is Nuance. Call their customer service Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Time), Phone: 1-800-654-1187.
I called and requested that all of my contact information be immediately removed from their database. Although their "Customer Service Rep" (who was definitely not service oriented at all, was somewhat curt, she did assure me that the phone number and email would be removed from the database and that communications should cease. Time will tell -- but I should know within 24 hours since the calls have been practically daily for the past two weeks. - LesleyI called them back and got an automated system that gave me the option to remove our number. However our number should never have been on their system because we are the do not call list. I have reported them on it. If you need to do the same it's donotcall.gov. I hate companies like this. At least speak when somebody answers the phone!

- swuzyCalled Nuance back at 1-800-654-1187 option 3, said their 866 771-6288 number was calling me all the time several times a day on a daily basis and requested my number be removed from their calling lists. She identified my name from my phone number I gave her, and said she will note to remove my phone number from their calling lists. Hopeful.
I suspect this is an outsourceing service they provide to unrelated telemarketers to determine at what time of the day and week, a human will be home and available to pick up the phone.- Caller: Nuance
- CharlesSince I have been a past customer of Nuance, they have a right to call me.
If a person would be on the line, that would be ok. They could make their offer and I could say yes or no and that would be the end of it. But I don't understand this hang-up routine. I plan to call them and clear this up. I have purchased several products from them and was mostly satisfied with same.
Until I found your website, I had been afraid that someone was calling me just to see if anyone was home - and perhaps break into the house. - AA company called "Nuance" that makes the current sofware Dragon Naturally Speaking special offer to get me to buy new version. They call every six months.
- MikeI just got a dead-air call.
- LIndaNUance software cb and lm to remove from list, bad pr job.
- Caller: nuance
- drmemoryrepeated calls - hangs up after two or three rings - never anyone there.
- AnonymousI bought the OmniPage and Dragon Naturally Speaking from Nuance, and the Nuance programs need to be activated online. In order to do that, one must go to the Nuance website where a highly excessive amount of information is being asked. Unfortunately, one of the *required portion of information is a person's contact phone number.
- TAJust called -- left no message. Caller ID says "New Once" I believe this is a telemarketer/Suvey company -- I do not see how this is related to Nuance software.
- Anon| 1 replyThis is Nuance, a software company that makes PDF and voice-recognition software (Dragon Naturally). I also had purchased their PDF product, and they called to offer me their Dragon Naturally product. I'm sure that it's a telemarketing company that Nuance has contracted with to make these calls.
- Caller: Nuance
- AnonyJust received the call. There was no one there for the first 10 seconds, but as I couldn't put the phone down right away, someone did come on the line after that.
When I called back this exact number, I didn't have to speak to anyone in order to be put on their do not call list. I just dialed and immediately there was a machine that said to "press 1" if I want my number to be removed from the list. I did so and then left my name and number after the beep to be put on their do not call list. Hope this helps. - AnonymThis is the part where you're supposed to TALK!! They ask for me, when I say it's me...dead air. ?!?!?!?!? WTF?!?!?!? So stupid! If you are selling something, I'm guessing you're not making much. Way to run your show, Nuance/Dragon!
