Called my cell phone # twice at work today between 12:00 and 12:30pm eastern time. My cell is a completely unlisted #, so I am not aware how they managed to find it without just random dialing.

No caller ID came up, just the number itself. No answer on the first call (dead air), didn't bother to pick up the second time.

Same here.  2 Calls today on my cell phone. Both times dead air.

It's Leons furniture and they have called 16 times in the past week. Three times in 5 minutes where only one time anyone said anything it was Pierre Gagne, regional manager from leons with some important news for me. Blah blah
I called Leon's directly and asked to be removed from the list. They gladly did so. I think ill call Mr Pierre Gagne at supper time tonite and tell him bout this site. Maybe he will stop HARRASSING us!

Got call from this number. It was an automated call/message from AAA (Triple A Auto Club).

Same thing here... I think it was LEON furniture too. I bought some tables there a couple of weeks ago and they had to call me for their «Special clients offer». Stupid....

Since I did not renew with AAA, they call me with an automated message from time to time. There is a "specail offer" recording that they always leave on my voice mail.

I keep getting the same call...nothing but dead air....the thing about Leons makes a little sence to me seeing as how I purchased a few things...when you call back it asks for your # then says they have no record of calling that number...even if you dont enter your number you get the same recording.

I was on the phone and couldn't get off the call. I *69-d the number and dialed it. I got two click hangups and two dead-air. I have never heard of Leons, so I think it's probably AAA. But that thing shouldn't expire.
The no-call list is ending soon and I think some companies have found a loophole already.

I sent it to voice mail the last time.
The computer voice in the voice mail identified its self as being from AAA.

Calls repeatedly and never leaves a message.

Calls are coming in several times a day from this number - interrupting other calls with the call waiting feature.

The phone number is from Ingrid E. Newkirk (PETA) It's a recorded message wanting donations. Only members of PETA get calls.

i got the peta call today.  called the number back, used the option to be put on the do not call list.  It's in Ontario.  I'm not a member of peta, BTW.

Hello, received 2 calls today. One at 12:25pm and the other at 11:38 MST.  I did not answer because I was working at the time.  I tried to call back but got the same recording about not "recognizing the number...."  Im an not a member of PETA nor have I purchased any type of furniture lately.

Live in Ont. and this number called me 5 times in only a couple hours. I couldn't pick up since I was at work too!! Tried searching on 411.com and 411.ca, no luck. Then I found this site. I've also purchased couches from Leons, a few months ago, not a PETA member though.....

GETTING OFF THE LIST
Getting you name off this list is easy but must be done right.  Only the call agent can take you off the list, calling LEON's or PETA will not do it.  Also you must stay on the call long enough for the agent to take you off the list.  Hang up before they confirmed that you are off the list will bring up the next call before the agent could take you off the list.

HOW THEY GOT MY #
Call lists are created from various souces, besides the phone book and are exchanged between companies.  Infact the telemarkets often work for companies that employee hundreds of calls to work on dozens of campagn.  This is why you see the same call back phone number for somany different companies.

Received a call on my cell from 866-786-3394. It's AAA Motor Club calling about membership renewal.

It's also the telemarketer used by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. They've called twice, silence both times. I called the number back to discover it was TSO.

FWIW, Leon's is a furniture store in Ontario.
