Actually this number is for Sprint Setup. if someone calls they are trying to confirm set up of an acccount. this just happened to me. Turns out my identity was stolen. If Sprint hadnt called to verify my set up I would have never known myy identity was stolen.

I do not any phones send to me .That is not me ordering a phone or service. cancel,cancel.

I just got a call from this number about something I ordered

I just got a call from this number on my newly activated iPhone 5. Activated yesterday, and a male voice was on the other end. He asked if someone I knew was there and I said no, I couldn't really understand what he was saying from then on. The number is "(866) 789-8292".

This is a legitimate number for Sprint, it is a standard number that will show up anytime an agent dials outbound. Sprint takes anyone's privacy very seriously, and will never call to ask you personal information such as financial or SSN, nothing of that nature. If you do receive a call you are not sure about asking for such information, there are numbers that the agent can provide for you to call back and give the needed information to. If they say they do not have a number to give you to do that, I suggest you hang up. I work there so I know that it is possible.

This is absolutely sprint. When you order something online, they often call to validate your address and contact details. They tell you they may contact you online when you order. If they call you asking for someone else, that means your that persons secondary contact.

Caller is from Sprint to confirm new phone order.

Thank goodness for the comments in this thread. I called Sprint right after I read that someone had their identity stolen. This happened to me today! Someone hacked my sprint account got my  information and called them and ordered a phone. Sprint noticed unusual activity and called to verify.  Don't ignore this call. To be safe call the direct Sprint number instead and they will help you. The fraud department told me what to do and what they were going to do to help me. So if you get a call from this number check back with Sprint right away!

I got a call today and it was suspicious to me. They asked me for my pin number.

I just called and gave my information to them on a order and I told them my information and he didn’t even give an his customer ID number he seem to stall me for awhile. Please tell me his was a real sprint representative
