No idea but I'm getting sick of the hang up phone calls. It's extremely annoying!

What agency needs to crack down on this form of waste and harassment?

I believe it some agency connected to car sales companies. Try calling the Do not call registry agency and register your number. I did that 5 years ago and it completely stopped all calls from telemarketers. Once your number has been in the registry for about 30 days, if you still get anonymous calls you can report it to them. The number is 18883821222. Good luck

They are contracted by car dealers to bother the hell out of us after you make any kind of contact with a dealership. The caller says they are from the dealership when in fact they work for this call center company. Check out their website.

I demanded to be put on their Do Not Call List. I will also be making BBB, FTC, and FCC complaints now that I know who they are. I really hope everyone else takes the time to do so as well. I never gave eLEAD permission to contact me relentlessly and the dealers are complicit in this harrassment.

VISITED GARY MILLER CHRYSLER-JEEP, ERIE PA. STARTED GETTING HANG UP CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER THE NEXT DAY. I WILL NOT BUY FROM A DEALER THAT DOES THIS. THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER- I DON'T WANT TO BE THEIR CUSTOMER. GLAD I FOUND OUTT BEFORE BUYING.

I visited a Kia dealership in Austin TX early evening and three hours later this phone call comes in.  I did not take it but when I called it early this morning the recorded greeting did not include the company name. I got on the internet and found this is a fairly common practice with car dealers.  I'm sure they probably make a few dollars on selling our phone numbers.  Hey, I won't ever give out my phone number to a car dealer again...

Went to a Chrysler dealership in Franklin Tennessee for an oil change, and gave them my cell phone number to call me when it was ready, now 1-866-796-6131 calls my cell phone. I pay per minute for cell service, and restrict who I give the number to. I never expected this.

I gave my cell phone number to Hoy-Fox Toyota in El Paso and the next day I got one of these calls.  When I answered, the caller hung up.

CALL THE NUMBER THEY CALL YOU FROM ON A LAND LINE.  SOMEONE WILL ANSWER AND TELL THEM TO TAKE YOU OFF THEIR LIST.  THEY ARE CUSTOMER RELATION FIRM FOR AUTO DEALERSHIPS.

Took my car for an oil change at the dealership today. I didn't answer. After reading these posts, I surmising that they want to rate the service.  I am still not answering.

I took my car to my dealer for my routine oil change 3 days ago, as I have done every few months for the past 4 years...while I was there I started looking at other vehicles. I came home and last night went online, filled out and got approved for an auto loan through Capital One. Low and behold, today the calls have started to both my home & cell from this number. Not once did I did fill anything out that was directly connected to an auto dealership.

I bought a car yesterday from Ray Brandt Chrysler/Jeep dealership in Louisiana.  So far today I have gotten 2 phone calls from that same number.

I bought a vehicle from a Chrysler-Jeep dealership in Fowlerville, MI last Friday.  Started getting hang-up calls yesterday.  Had three so far, so I took the advice from an earlier post and called the number.  A very, very nice young woman said she'd put all three of my contact numbers on their do not call list.  That's all it took.

I'm making a note of the day and time that I called them.  If I get any more calls, I'll report them.  For the time being, I'm assuming that the calls will stop.  And for the record, the young lady told me that the dealerships contract their services to do follow up calls.  I'll be calling the dealership tomorrow and lodging a complaint.

Went to a Honda dealership in Marlyand just last night and the call came in this morning.  I have my cell phone forwarded to my business number so this is annoying.  I answered and nothing on the other end.

I will call to have my numbers put on their do not call list.
