They won't stop calling.  It's a daily occurance.

Received a call from this number this evening and there was noone there.

get at lease three calls a day from this nr.

Every day I get a call from this number 1-866-800-5475...who are they....how can we get them to stop?

They are an affiliate of Wells Fargo selling insurance.  True vermin IMHO. If you have a mortgage with WF, you will get calls from them.  Call the WF number on your statement and tell them that you do not want to receive calls from any of their affiliates. They will place a "privacy stop" on your account.  It may take a while for the calls to stop after that because I got another call from the same number the very next day after I talked to WF. I got so sick of them that I used my Verizon IOBI to forward the number back to the WF toll-ree number. :-)

To stop annoying calls, you should ask your phone company about their call management services.  Verizon's online IOBI service gives you a screen that lets you block up to 20 dirtbags at a time, so it comes in very handy.

866-800-5475 has called numerous times..the last few calls I've received when home, I pick up the phone & immediately hang up. But I agree, it's very annoying. After a little "web research" I have found that National Union Fire Ins. Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa. is a division of the super-huge AIG insurance company. They are marketing auto, home, life, etc. insurance to individuals. If you want to complain to someone, I would go directly to AIG; write a letter to a "what's your problem" column in a major newspaper, or complain to the BBB and the "do not call" registry, being specific that it's a part of AIG!!!

I get a call from this number all the time, too.  Today after answering, I stayed on the phone to see if anything would happen.  After a few seconds a woman asked if she could speak to me (and totally botched my last name).  I said 'speaking' and was about to read her the riot act, but before I could get a word out, she said 'thank you.' and hung up.

talk about freaky.  so i tried to call the number back and i got someone's sprint pcs voice mail.  i am hesitant to put the number in this forum...

I'm getting calls from several 800 numbers.
I am seeing if they somehow link together.
Then the company can deal with what comes behind it.

They just keep calling and since no one knows the number we just let the answering machine get it and then whoever it is hangs up halfway through the answering machine.

Ditto Reggie's comments of 28 Feb 2008.  I finally called Wells Fargo, and as he suggested, asked to stop calls from all affiliates.  From my conversation with them, it appears that this is becoming a very popular request.

Filed a complaint with the DO NOT CALL registry.  We are on the DNC List.  I already called once to have my number removed, and they said they would in two business days. That was of course three business days ago.

I've gotten two calls from this number this morning within 2 hours of each other.  Most troublesome.  Who are they?  They do not leave a message.  They are never there when I answer.

Answered the call yesterday, and talked to a VERY insistent woman wanting to sell me supplemental accident insurance.  I stated repeatedly that I had accident coverage, and she just went back to her script.  After about the third or fourth time, I told her that I understood she was just doing her job, and that I knew she was reading from a script, and I appreciated the call, but that I would NOT be buying insurance from National Union Fire Insurance of Pittsburgh, or any other insurance being telemarketed over the phone by cold calls.  She thanked me for my courtesy, fired off a telephone number, and hung up.

Call 800-470-1453 to get put on their Do Not Solicit list. I just did this, so I do not know how effective it is.

This one is SOOOO annoying...all the time. They do call between 9 and 5 usually which is better than the others, but we are on the do not call list & it does not seem to matter. I cannot answer my phone for all the stupid solicitors calling. ARGH! They never leave a message.

Thank you to sickofcalls for the number above. I just called AIG Insurance the parent of Wells Fargo I believe which is who this was & informed them I am on the Do Not Call list. Spoke with Janet who informed me that the law has changed & anyone we do business with is allowed to call us & solicit regardless of this list. This made me even more angry because we are not customers of theirs. We did get a new phone number 6 months ago & whomever had my number may have been. Then she said they can put me on their no call list, but they wanted my name, address & phone number. This seems REALLY suspect. I gave her a first initial & last name that rhymes with mine & refused straight out to give them my address to which she said okay, but reluctantly. My husband suggested saying my name was Papa Q. Bear at 123 Sunny Dirt Road, Bear Country...lol. Anyway...she said it would be up to 30 days for the calls to stop at which time I informed her I was about to go "postal" & then I sweetly asked where they worked out of...haha. She sounded VERY nervous then. I also told her to make a note that I would be purchasing an air horn & anyone who calls better not value their hearing. I have decided I am not going to get mad I am going to get even. Another thought is to find out where they are & ask for their full name. I will start calling them at all times of the day & night. This should be illegal for them to harrass us at home. She said "just buy caller ID" but it says unknown & my husband is on call & cannot just not answer in case its work. I am really about to lose my mind. So...yes the number helped, but it still sounds like they will be calling. I am going to call my phone company & report them to the harrassment department because telling them to take me off their list has not seemed to help. Thank God for this website & other's like it! :-)

Same complaint as rest, calls multiple times, leaves no message.

Calls nearly every day.Weekends too. Can't get ANY sleep. Won't leave a message.
Wells Fargo is NO help per Eric. Finally able to get my call block to accept the number-hopefully it will work. If not, I don't have any air horns, but I have a boatload of whistles and I'm not afraid to use them!! Come on people, at least have some professional courtesy and SPEAK into the phone - after all you called
me!!
