Every day this number calls at 7 or so... no one is on the line....

this number is calling me everyday for a few weeks now. what the heck?

I get 2 or 3 calls a day, no responce or call back.

It's been happening to me for about 2 1/2 weeks now.

OK for all of you that say you are on the do not call list have you updated your phone number within the last three years?  If not you have to keep up your on the do not call list.  Also if you want to file a complaint about a company calling here is the link:

But you have to have been on the list for 30 days before they will act on your complaint.  I have complained about ten to fifteen differnet numbers and companies to the DO NOT CALL LIST complaint line.  A friend of mine told me that if you answer the phone when they call or you call them back from your home phone they have you in their system.  So do not call back or pick up the phone.  They stop calling within ten days if no one answers.  It seems that they are just trying to find who they can call and when is the best time to reach the unknown person.

This number showed up on my caller ID.  I answered and it was American Homeless Veterans wanting me to donate money to them.

Some redneck girl calls and asks for James and when I ask who is calling she hangs up.

Call a company called AmeriTech (800-337-4194), itself a RespOrg, which has access to the SMS/800 database and offers a service that will tell you the identity of the RespOrg for any toll free number.

It seems that "BN1 Telecommunications, Inc" uses 866-808-0880 this number!

Plus! We did some research on the internet and found this information: There's a lawyer "Robert C. Folland" 216.566.5500 some how involved with this company. Not sure if it's in a positive way or negitive way. The company is listed on his website under "Representative Matters". And his website is http://www.thompsonhine.com/lawyer/RobertFolland/   

Hopefully, this may help others with this ANNOYING 866-808-0880 number problem.

Just called and no one on other end. From now on I will not answer when I see this number on caller ID.

I made a pledge of $10.00 to get their paperwork to me! (From the number 866-808-0880 AMERICAN HOMELESS VETERANS, a.k.a. BN1 Telecommunications, Inc.) Well I got it a couple of weeks later.
It’s from the AMERICAN HOMELESS VETERANS with the usual propaganda. It had one phone number on the pamphlet to contact this charity. The number on the pamphlet is 866-219-6057.

I checked it with AmeriTech (800-337-4194 a 800 research company) for researching the charity AMERICAN HOMELESS VETERANS phone # 866-219-6057 (for which anyone can do, it’s FREE!) and guess what I found out 866-219-6057 on the AHV pamphlet also belongs to "BN1 Telecommunications, Inc" which also uses the number 866-808-0880.

Obviously, this has got to be a scam! Beware!

I bought a Tele-Zapper from Surplus City for under $3.00 about the same time I received the paper work from this scam company. So far, I haven't received anymore calls from this so-called charity. Not sure what worked but the bottom line is that I haven't received any more calls from these toll free numbers. Now when the phone rings, it is someone I know. :)

Just got a call from this number. They asked for Mr."wifesmaidenname". I asked what this is in regards to. THey said they were calling for the American Homeless Veterans. Then asked if I was MR."wifesmaidenname". I said that is not my name. They then asked if my wife (by name) was available. I said no and then they asked "well where is she then" and hung up. Then I got a call back 30 sec. later and they pranked called me from the same number.

I've had 20 calls in the last week from this number.  I donated $10.00 a year ago to "American Homeless Veterans."  At the time I didn't associate this donation with numerous calls from this number.  This year, just on a hunch, I intentionally didn't send in my contribution.  Within 20 days, I began to get from 5-10 calls during the legal telemarketing times during the day.  I got 10 calls during the day on July 23, 2008.  I will never give another dime to "American Homeless Veterans" and can only believe I was scammed when I gave the $10.00 donation last year.  I contacted the phone company, was encouraged to check my "DoNotCall" status at www.DoNotCall.gov, and was referred to the Call Annoyance branch of the phone company.  I went to the DoNotCall website and found out by requesting an email notification that my phone number is on the DoNotCall list and will remain on it indefinitely by an Act of Congress in 2007, until or unless I ask that my number be removed.  When I called the Call Annoyance department of my phone company, a recorded phone company message said that automatic phone dialers were to blame and the fact that sometimes they don't detect that a phone line has been answered and connect a company representative to it.  The recording finally declared that the phone company would take no action to stop such calls.  Finally I went back to DoNotCall.gov and filed a complaint about the calls just in case they are from either a commercial telemarketer or are not actually associated with a valid charity.  I encourage all other persons with the same problem to make the same complaint about this number to the DoNotCall.gov website.  I can only hope that American Homeless Veterans is a fraudulent charity, which will soon be either fined out of existence or charged with criminal fraud by the Federal Trade Commission.

Never leave message. Caller ID TOLL FREE NUMBER. Been on caller id almost everyday now.

We recieve this call, sometimes, three times a day! I pick up and they
hang up. What gives? I would like them to take our  name and phone
number OFF their list and quit bothering us. It is harassment!!

They call me a lot too. It is also Charitable Resource Foundation in Indianapolis. Check out their website. It has contact info that you can use to contact them about their tactics.

It's Charitable Resources Foundation. Go to their website and call their 800 number. Ask for Patty and she'll take you off their list.

I keep getting a call from this number and it's driving me nuts.  I just found a phone number for the Charitable Resources Foundation mentioned above.  I called it and Patty answered.  She took my phone number and said she would be adding my name to their do not call list.  I was told it would take a couple of days and then I won't receive any more calls.
