Report a phone call from 866-811-1159 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Andrew| 1 replyI got a phone call from a lady at 866-811-1159. She knew my name, and my ex-wife's remarried name. She said she was from the law offices of Frederick J. Hanna & Associates. I refused to give her my ex's phone information, but subsequently called my ex, who I do not get along with at all, and gave her the name of the law firm and their phone number. I do not know if she called them, and the person from the alleged law firm, refused to give me any information citing attorney/client priviledge. This happened at 8 pm, est.
- Caller: Frederick J. Hanna & Associates
- WayneReceived a call on 9/27/07 at 3:40pm. Said they were tring to get in touch with a neighbor(gave the name). Did not give any other information. I went off on them on the phone. I had already called them back previously and asked to be removed from their listings.I had received several calls from theis number and they would hang up and not leave anything on the answering machine. I looked up the number on the computer and several compliants had been made. The lady told me that my number was not on her listing and no one had called to have this number removed. I do know I told someone at this bussiness to remove my number earlier.

- Javier| 1 replyFrederick J Hannah & Associates is a very fishy collections firm. Bad news is that they're extremely rude and persistent. They love intimidating people and threatening them over the phone. If you don't have a credit management firm helping you get rid of your debt my advise would be to get one right away. Good news is that even if you don't have any type of representation there's still a lot you can do.
1.- Send Frederick Hannah & Associates a "Request to Cease Verbal Communication" Letter. You can send it to 1427 Roswell Rd., Marietta, GA. 30062
2.- Record ANY and ALL conversations you have with anyone at Frederick Hannah. ALWAYS begin the conversation by letting them know that you are recording the conversation. If they ask you why, all you have to say is that you are protecting yourself, period. If you don't know how to record your conversations you can always download skype and Supertintin for skype; get a pair of headphones and a microphone (you can also just use your camera mic.)
3.- Have a record of all communications with them.
4.- Learn your rights under the Fair Debt Collection Act. It is illegal for collectors to harass you, threaten you, insult you or call you anywhere other than your home. You can check your rights here http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/
VERY IMPORTANT!!!
Getting a collection company to stop calling DOES NOT make the actual debt (if you have it) go away. You still need to enroll in a credit management agency that will help you.
DO NOT FEEL EMBARASSED ABOUT ANY KIND OF DEBT!! Stuff happens and the important thing is that you take care of it to the best of your abilities. - TracyA guy named John keeps calling me from them asking about my brother. I assume he had a debt turned over to them. The first time I told him how I haven't spoken to my brother in over 2 years since our father's funeral (this is the truth).
He instantly got rude, saying I was lying to him and we got into it. Since then this same John guy has called my house about 10 times over the last month. He'll never leave a message, but the few times I answer it's him and his rude talk. I've told him how I've added his number to the Do Not Call Registry and the last time he called (just while ago) I told him I would press harassement charges if he calls me again. He responded by laughing and saying he was going to make it a point to call me more.
Do I have the legal right to do anything over this ??? - George WashingtonGot a call from a rude female from this number. Then another call from Jacob somebody or other from the law firm of Frederick J. Hanna in Atlanta. I told the woman when I could start paying on a debt. She tried to be a tuffy so I hung up on her. She called my 86 year old mother and gave her a third degree but my mother is still smart enough to tell her to call me. Typical rude collection people. The spend their lives being rude to people and don't care about any financial problems you may be having. How can you live like that. If they persist I will tell them to contact me by mail only. If they try to collect in court I will have Pre-Paid Legal assistance in court. If they are dumn enough to go to court and they win something they will still get no money because I have no money. Luckily my cellphone shows who is calling and I can avoid answering their persistent calls.
- Fight| 1 replyChallenge anything you get from Frederick J Hannah. Get a validation of debt letter, keep all phone conversations, names, dates and times. I recently dealt with this company to resolve and pay a debt I owed. The agent I spoke with was very rude, he tried to throw around legal statements to imply they could put a lien on my home, sue, garnish my wages if I did not pay the whole amount that day, saying he did not have to accept any payment arrangements I was attempting to make. I took this company to court so not only did they not get the money they were requesting from me , they also had to pay my lawyer fees.
- StuartAlso received a recorded message from John Daily. I couldn't recognize the name of the person he was asking for (it was voice synthesized) but it wasn't close to anyone here, so I disregarded it. Got another, then another, then another. Enough! I called them & they're looking for someone I've never heard of. Since this person has the same last name as me & she lives in the area (which has a population of 3 million!) they decided to call me even though we have NO association whatsoever. Spoke with Brian Jones & he agreed I'm not the person. Problem solved, right? Nope, I get another call the next week. Go through the same cycle & get another promise to remove my number. But a week later I get yet another call. WTH!?!?! I'm sick of these people & someone should do something about this. Arg! (BTW, I did record all my conversations & am on the Do Not Call List.)
- dianne carinithey call regarding a debt or something with bank of america...I dont have anything with bank of america..
they call my work and try to talk to my supervisors
they call @ 7am on sat and sun day mornings.
very annoying- Caller: fredrick j hanna and assc
- cdThese "A....S" continue to call and harrass me looking for someone who does not nor has not ever lived at this location. As many times as I tell them this, they continue to call. When I just called them to inform them yet again that this is NOT the correct phone number, Ms. Francine Jackson yelled, screamed and then hung up on me!! When I called her back, she denied ever having spoken to me. THEY ARE RUDE............AND LIARS! BEWARE!!
- A collector| 4 repliesIf you paid your bills as you agreed everytime you swiped your defaulted credit card, you would not receive any collection efforts. Plain & Simple. BTW collection agencies & attorneys are retained to collect the balance in full, any payment arrangement is a courtesy. Dianne Carini you are not telling the whole truth, Hanna is NEVER open on Sundays!!!! I worked there for 4 years. I will ocntinue to work in collections, as I make over 80k in wages & bonuses.
- Tired of DebtStated that they were from a law firm and were just handed some files of conern. Surprised thay they left this on the answereing machine as they gave out enough information to to steel ones ID. Lets assume that they called the wrong number...it happens!!!! Now the liability for disclosing private information should be known better by a reputable law firm. I only deal with certified mail. If they cant take the time or spend $4.00 for a certified letter than the issue is not worth their effort. NEVER NEVER get into a discussion on the phone with these people as they will turn your conversation against you and you will be agreeing to things you never ever did. Tell them to send it certified mail if they reaaly have an issue with you. RECORDING your call is a must. I guarantee you they do it!!!!
- Sick of CallsJust got a call from the law firm and I already paid off my debt that they so called have no record of me doing. Keep your bank statements and record all calls.
- JPP1/22/08, 2:30pm. message was left from sam ellerton from law firm of frederick j hannah (sp?). said to phone 866 811 1159 x4090 "immediately." i even have a case #. if you are responsible and pay off your debts, then don't call unless they pissed you off, in which case you should call back and berate the fuxking shxt out of these mf-ers. this i'll be doing in the morning! will advise.
- the manto "a collector" 80K isn't "s*#t" these days
- ryanyeah, i just got a call this morning on my cell phone from these guys. I was sleeping at the time and didnt pick it up...from what i've read here i'm glad i didn't. To my knowledge I do not have any kind of debt..i only have 2 credit cards (one is paid off by my parents for school related) and a personal one for my own use to establish credit. That has been paid off and the balance is 0.00 as I type. I'm confused.
- Steve (I'm a real lawyer)Collectors are bottom feeders, plain and simple. Frankly, I echo the sentiments of "the man" 80k AIN'T [***] these days. These people are liars, cheats, etc. Me...I'm never afraid of these "lawyers." If they ARE lawyers, they work on volume, their goal is to spend as little time doing their job as possible (if they expend too much effort, they actually lose money). I have NO PROBLEM with screwing companies, and especially these "lawyers." Corporations "write off" debts and obligations all the time (pensions, etc.) and nobody calls to "collect" from them...so [***] 'EM!!! No matter what, they just don't scare me. One cannot be scared from primordial ooze.

- DarleneI keep getting a call from this #... i just pick up and hang up immediatly... i won't even give them the satifaction of getting to my voice mail. One of these days I might do the YouTube thing, where they answer the phone and ask who's calling and how do they know this person... pretending to be the Police investigating a muder scene and the person calling (debt collector or whom ever) is now a suspect since they know the "dead" persons phone # and is calling right after the "crime".. it was sooo funny, and I bet that debt collector will think twice about making a harrassing phone cal... at least to that phone #

- Teacher| 4 repliesI have to agree with "collector" aka "to the man"....If you morons would pay the debts that you owe instead of running and hiding behind your couch when they call..you wouldn't get these phone calls in the first place...Lets look at the real problem for once instead of blaming everyone else..Just like children...Take Take Take...Because you simpletons can't figure out how to be responsible everyone else has to pay higher interest rates...Way to be bottom feeders...Then on top of that you all have the damn nerve to cry and moan about them calling you?? Are you F'in kidding me? Your lucky you don't owe me the money cause I'd come and get your hiding ass while you were sleeping..Grow up babies!!! Pay your bills!! I'm so sick of paying for you irresponsible people!!
- VictimIf these collector morons would follow the law and present an application or some other proof that this is someone else's account before they call or even after requested in writing to do so. Then we would take them more seriously. We will not pay what we do not owe, and their campaigns of threats, harassment and embarrassment will not change this:

- to the victim| 1 replyyou already have proof of the claim filed against you, you have avoided them for over a year in most cases, we understand the economy is bad and all the other things that are going on, but there comes a time when you need to say no to buying the new xbox 360 or latest game and take care of the past items that you purchased on our clients cards....common sense...
