This number keeps calling.  They do not leave a message and if we call back we block our number and yet they ask for the same person.  Does anyone know who this is?  If we ask who they are they give a first name only and will NOT tell you who they represent.  We are on the DO NOT CALL list but it doesn't help.

I received a call from this number 866-844-2358.  I am on the do not call list. so I don't answer if I don't know the number.  no message left.

Its Credit Management Control its a collection agency. For Emergency Room Doctor Bills, Bounced Walgreens and Aurora Checks, Just Energy Bills, Government Tickets (which for FYI you realize if you don't pay after a certain amount of time on something even as small as a parking ticket they can put a warrant out for your arrest), and etc

Though the majority of the bills they have in their office they can settle for between 30% to 50% to 60% of what you owe. One person owed $780 on a 5 year old bill, was offered a settlement for 60% off, in 4 monthly payments of $78 and they were done with the bill.

But if you want them to stop calling just say you don't care every time they call and then they'll close your account and send it somewhere else. It might take a month, but then it will close and you'll stop receiving calls.

I'm getting call's from this number and 866-844-2360  They hang up when i answer the phone.

This number keeps calling me , since I will not even answer a number I do not recognize. I suggest they take ME off their list!!!

No one speaks when picked up, several clicks then sometimes a fax tone or a dial tone. The a dial tone.

This number keeps calling our landline.  Sometimes (about once every 10 calls)  they leave a message that states the following:
This is a message for John K. Smith <not the real last name BUT the last name is the same last name as us>. This is NOT a telemarketing call. This is an attempt to collect a debt.  If you are NOT John K. Smith press 1.  IF you are John K. Smith please press 2.  <blah blah blah>."

Recently there has been an uptick in the number and frequency.  They go away for a few months then start back up again.

There are, as listed in the local phone book, at least 50 - 75  "Smiths" listed.  I thought that debt collection robo-calling people who are NOT the debtor (we do not know a John K. Smith and we are somewhat certain we are not directly related to this person) was illegal.

This number has been robo-calling our number for at least a year now.

just got this call today-  (I picked up just for the heck of it)  it s a prerecorded message from Credit Management Control .

I have NO outstanding bills to my knowledge.  So I hung up .

You don't ever pay a bill with a debt collector who offers a partial payment unless you have them put in writing that your credit report will show "paid In Full"

They identified themselves in voicemail msg as a Debt Collector. Credit Mgt Control. Ok, but... I DONT HAVE ANY DEBT!!! WHy are they calling me??!!

Yes, I believe you can sue them for calling you if you hold no debt. I'm sure some calls are legit, to debtors. However, if wrong person, you can file a lawsuit against the Collection agency.

My brother has debt. I do not. We have same initials and similar social security number (off by last 2 numbers) If your company CMC is calling ME NOT HIM, isn't that grounds for a lawsuit? Also, how did CMC get MY cell phone number when my brother owes debt? Is this debt now on MY CREDIT REPORT??!! I am about ready hire a lawyer on this aggravation your company is WRONGLY causing ME!!!

Got a call from this number and the woman, Rose, seemed very confused that my sister was not at this number and hasn't lived with me for a number of years. Almost 10 to be exact. This has to be some very old debt if they're calling my phone. Very polite though.

I received  a call from this number on my cell phone saying it was a debt collector and gave no contact name.  Only hours to call back.  I do not owe any debt and I get my credit report through a agency every 3 months and nothing has ever shown up!!  I am on the National Do Not Call List.

I received a message today from this number claiming they are a collection agency.  I don't owe anything.

identified self as collection agency- said I had an unpaid account.

Called today under a local number 715-318-4552. Stupidly answered. Wasnt even for us so I looked up the number they gave to call back to which is 866-844-2358. How they get this number is beyond me. Next call will be turned in and they can pay ME! Get a REAL job a**h***s!

They keep calling me and they tell me they are a debt collector  from credit management control.  I have no debt collection at all.  I am so tired of them calling me all the time.  They leave me a voice message and I  never return the call.  This has to be stopped!!!

If you want it to stop you have to stop sticking your head in the sand and hope that it goes away.
