This company is called "Regions Asset", they're an investigative agency out of Kansas hired by attorneys to locate people's addresses so the attorney can serve them with a lawsuit.  Be careful what you say to them because there will be someone knocking at your door in a few days to serve a lawsuit.

I live in Colorado and just a call from this number.  A lady named Karen was trying to verify my address.  She wouldn't tell me why so I hung up.  I have a few collection accounts and now I'm worried that one of them is trying to find me to sue me.  How can I find out who they're working for?

I'm glad I found this site.  I was going to ignore the call I got from this number but decided to call after reading about pending lawsuits.  I was transferred to an attorney's office, D. Scott Carruthers, and I found out they were in fact looking for me to serve me with a lawsuit.  I was able to negotiate a low monthly payment with them and they agreed not to report it to my credit bureau.  I was surprised they were so nice, actually.

It's a phishing scam.  Don't call them back and don't give them any information.  They try to trick you into sending them money or revealing personal information.  The same calls come from this number and from 1-866-816-3801.  If they are harressing you, report them to www.ic3.gov.

I got a call from this number as well, same Karen or Rob Parker.  Googled the number and found a bunch of sites with people posting their experiences with these calls.  On almost every site, there was one or two postings saying these are real creditors and they're really nice and understanding... blah blah blah... In my opinion, they seemed like a fake postings. Maybe by the "company" themselves?? They didn't even say a company name!! On a few sites the posting said the same exact things!!  Just seems a little fishy to me.  Google the number and read all the differnet sites postings.

Text of call:  Hi it’s Karen – Rob and I have been trying to reach you to verify information in our file.  But either one of us has heard back from you yet.   And now, time is running out.  Our client just informed us that they want this reviewed by our attorney – by Friday – so it’s important that you return my call right away – or you can call Rob Parker directly – his # is 1-866-847-4539, 1-866-847-4539.  OK?  We’ll both be in the office all day today.

I got the exact same message as Harry above.  I won't call back a number that does not say their name or why they want to verify my account.

The call has to be phony.   I have no outstanding bills, past or present.  I don't give out information, and I don't answer these calls.  (Another number 407-933-2678, just as phony.)  I know it is phony because I forgot and left my phone on, and it went to voicemail, so I listened to the "scare" tactics they imply, but it's stupid to try it on me.  But of course, they don't have a clue and I won't help them.  Maybe whoever had my phone number before, had problems, don't think whoever calls has any idea who they are calling, they just threaten, people should just ignore the call, hang up.  The voice mail message was the same as  Harry, June 2, 2009

Just got the EXACT same phone call as Harry on June 2. They've called at least 4 times today, but I won't answer because I know better. It's a fake, people. Ignore it and it'll go away. Or you could try blocking them too?

I just got the exact same voice message as Harry did. I suspected it was a scam "Our client" wants this reviewed by Friday so we waited until now to get hold of you to verify the information we forgot to mention in this message..? Riiiiight.

Yea,,,,i got the same one as all the others and my experience tells me that this is the age of scams and people calling us to try to get our money that doesn't belong to them.  Soooo.....lets all think about this and if all of us got EXACTLY the same message then lets ignore any calls from Karen or Rob Parker because AREN'T WE SMARTER THAN THAT?  I don't have outstanding bills and there is no reason for someone to sue me.  If someone is truely consulting a lawyer about US then truely the law is to send the person a registered letter or legal paper in the mail....Forget this phone notification.  We're aren't falling for it.

Got the same message but I get it on a brand new Vonage phone number that I've never used.  Nobody has this number except for a robot caller.  I would recommend ignoring it and moving on.  It should also be noted that the number they called is a temporary number while Vonage tries to switch my current number over to their service.

I was contacted on my cell phone threatened with a lawsuit and then told I was Rubuen Esteves or some silly name.

Got a call from that number as well with the same message you all did.   Not sure how they got my cell.  If it was a true collector they would have called my home.

Repeated voice mails from a woman citing Ron Parker and attorneys standing by. I tried to answer the call when it came in (I have received 6 calls in the last 2 days), but when I did the caller disconnected.

I got the exact same call about 10 minutes ago. I'm NOT calling them back!

I got a message and they did not leave a name, all they said was "I have some information that was forwarded to my office" and something about wanting me to contact them back. I figured something was up since no name or company name was given so I called and they said they were looking for a Paul Riley, which I thought was piculiar that they called me seeing as that guy's probably a middle-aged man and i'm a 17 year old girl. So I told them to take me off their list. Apparently she did but if she didn't I'd like to know a way to stop the calls.

Got the same [***] like 8 times in the last two days.

I have been receiving calls on my cell phone which is a company supplied number.  They continue to call and harass me on a daily basis.
