I received a call from "Terrell" with "Capital One Direct Banking" who called from #804-968-2000 leaving me a voicemail that he wanted to speak with me regarding "my account".  He left this number: 866-850-3925.  I called and asked what account was it about because I did not have an account with them, and the guy who answered asked for the number I was contacted with and verified my name, then asked for security purposes what my Date of Birth was AND the last 4 digits of my social security number.  I refused, indicating I did not have an account with them and suspected it was fraud.  I then searched the internet under Capital One Direct Banking and there is no number such as this listed on their website.  BE CAREFUL!!

This is a scam!!! Do not give them your info. I was contacted over a year ago by these people to verify my account info and when I did (because I did not know any better) they turned out to be fraud! They took a lot of money from me and I never got it all back.

This is Capital One Direct Banking. They give you your account information when you open a new money market account (like i did).  They set up my online banking and ansswered my bank questions so I knew it was legit. They asked for name, dob, and ssn and I asked why and they said federal regulators require bank's to verify this information before giving out specific customer information (like account numbers). Made sense to me.

I got a call from 866-850-3925.  She identified herself asbeing from capital one abandoned properties department.  I found a phonenumber for capital oneon line and called it.  There is no such number for capital one.
FRAUD be careful!

This is the number to the Digital Resolution Team, Capital One's second-level technical support team. If they're calling you, it's most likely regarding a case that was submitted regarding a problem with the website or mobile app.
