I've gotten two calls from this number today.  Both were hang-ups.  Previous (NUMEROUS) calls from this number went unanswered by my choice.

numerous calls from this number. who is this calling my number.  i wish to take legal action and stop the phone calls.

I'm getting a call from this number to my cell phone several times a week.  I called it back one day and it's some kind of collection agency.  I don't know for who and I know I don't currently have anything in collections and I've never given out my cell number because it's a company phone.

These people called posing as a collection agency saying (quite falsely) I owed $26 to AT&T. As you should with anyone saying they are a collection agency, I told them to mail me any documentation regarding this account and that I will not speak to them until I see it. Yet they continue to call.

i keep getting calls from  this number. they never leave a message and i dont answer. its probably some kind of scam. i tried just blocking the number, and putting myself on the DNC list. But that takes 31 days. I'm just going to change my number, & be very careful who i give it you.

I GOT A CALL FROM A LADY NAMED HAZEL NASH, ASKING TO PAY MY DEBT WHICH I DIDNT OWE, SHE SOUNDED VERY DIFFERENT ,HER PRONOUNCIATION WAS AS IF SHE WAS A INDIAN, AND EVEN DIDNT PRONOUNCE MY NAME PROPERLY , FIRSTLY HIRE PEOPLE WHO CAN SPEAK ENGLISH, WITHOUT GRAMATICAL ERROR AND PRONOUNCE NAME'S CORRECTLY.... THEN I MAY TALK TO THESE DEBT COLLECTORS......

They called my cell phone, but could not possibly know who I am, since it is a "prepaid" phone with a number that I do not give out. I've had the number for two years. In addition, it's in a distant area code.

Received a call that I could not understand, About my daughter, I told her that she had pasted away and she still would not stop taking.

call every day couple times a day when you pick up no one there this is harrassement in my book how do you get them to stop called the do not call list 100 times they still call if they have something to say why dont they speak?

I KEEP GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER NO ONE TALKS NO ONE IS THERE THEY CALL TWO OR THREE TIMES A DAY HOW DO I STOP THIS?

Idiots keep calling a dedicated fax/data line over and over. Not a bother to us since it rings nowhere, I just see the call come in on my office phone.

This is Bay Area Credit calling about an AT&T bill that has already been paid.

What I do have is first hand experience and knowledge of these deceptive tactics from dealing with these types of organizations. I received a call from (866) 882-7666 and when I answered the phone, from my Pinger account on my iPhone, there was no one on the other end; this tells me they're using a robo-dialer. The software makes calls to a list of numbers, entered into the robo-dialer, and when some one answers the phone it rings the agent on the other end to notify them they have a live call. That's why there's a delay on the other side.

The robo-dialer can be programmed to hang up if they get a voicemail, or leave an automated message. Bay Area collections has to follow the Federal Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), if they violate this they can be held accountable by law.

If you feel like you're being harassed by a collection agency you need to report them immediately. Also when they say this call will be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes you can prohibit them from doing so by declining to be recorded.. Under FDCPA regulations you have to give them permission. I'd advise you to get a recording device of your own, if you allow them to record you, and tell them you'll also be recording the call. They will have to also give you permission to record them. The shady or otherwise deceptive collection agencies that try and cut corners will deny you access to record them and the call will most likely be terminated on their end. I hope this helps you from being taken advantage of or threatened to give any money to these sharks circling your money.

I have received harassing calls from this company for over a week. At first the call was from Pacific Card Services and then the calls came from Bay Area Card Services. I was asked for credit card payment information but the caller was not willing to verify my account information, nor was I asked for any account security credentials. I hung up on them but I continue to get these calls.
