When my wife answered, they asked for me, then asked if she was my wife, and asked to verify our mailing address.  She hung up at that point.  No idea who it is yet.

asked about our address...it wasn't what they had, and didn't give it to them either.

Caller asked what alarm company we had. At that point my husband said it was none of her business and hung up.

been calling me for weeks and every time they have a different address in another city i ask to be removed they say OK then a few days later they call again with a similar name and way off address

We received a call from the same number; they asked my husband to verify the last 4 number of his SSN; it wasn't what they had so he hung up on them.  Then today, I received a call from 800-861-4763 and after googling the number found out that this number belongs to Wolpoff & Abramson Llp a debt collection agencycompany with a horrible reputation.   Unfortunately, after she asked for my husband, who wasn't home, she asked me to verify the last 4 numbers of his SSN--I, in so many words, told her "no".  Eventually she asked me to 'do her a favor and hang up the phone'.  Yep, I did after I had a few choice words for her.  I would report them but after googling the name, I don't think I could add anything to what I have already read about them.

Received numerous calls a day from this company and I finally decided to answer the phone last week when they called.  They asked for someone who I do not know.  I asked them to remove my number from their system.  They called three times today, each time I asked them to remove my number.  The third time the agent identified himself as Michael Vonn and stated he was calling from California Portfolio (caller ID shows them as 800 service) regarding a debt for someone I have never heard of before.  I demanded to speak with a supervisor and was sent to Brian Lohmeyer who promised to take my number off their list (I was angry and told him if they called one more time I was filing a complaint and his name - which I doubt is real - would be in the complaint).  They appear to use google in an attempt to track down debtors and seem to do a shotgun attempt by calling everyone in the phone book with the debtor's last name.

I Block these calls on my android phone. There are may free ones Mr Number seems the best

Harassing calls sounds like a collection agency asking for some one with the same name as mine.
have asked repeatedly for them to stop calling to no avail.

Nothing is illegal for these people. They call whenever and however many times they want.

These people are doing random calls. They call my dedicated fax line expecting someone to answer.
25 missed attempts so far. Will they ever get a clue???

i dont know tese people but theyve been calling my gramma every 5 minutes and i dont know if i should pick up or something but its p*ssing me off that my gramma cant do anything without the fone ringing for this stupid number!!
