- angelwell i just want to say i believe it is credit report.com phone number. but i also felt uncomfortable because due to something else i was signing up for on interenet i ended up also directed to having to join and have a trial period of credit monitoring that i had to call that number 866-883-3309
to cancel the free trial . what bothered me when i called to cancel was that they asked for full social security number then my name D/B etc.thats everything we are told not to give out on phone. at every answer i gave i felt more uncomfotable at no time did they say ok hello ms. ---- or ok heres your subscription id or acct number.or ask for that info instead to bring up my acct. for me to feel that i was speaking with a legit company not someone gaining more info from me.
i know its unlawful to use social ecurity number as identifcation other then govermental use and yet its used daily in way to many places. gee wonder why we people get scammed or identities stolen? anyway the creditcard i used verified the cancelation and a 2nd call to creditreport.com so im hoping everything is above board. - malahi
i have been facing the same problem they have been taking my social security number and i m very worried that they may misuse it and also they are unnecessary charging it
i dont know where to get help from- Caller: creditreport.com
- sThey charged me during my thirty day trial. I called and canceled tried to get a refund. I had same experience as above and then I was told I was lying about how long my trial was even though I had never even heard of a seven day trial.
- joan zawackiI don't think I have ever received anything from them, as well as online. Are they still in business?
- Thomas G Cushmanwhat are they pulling is this a scam

- RODIEI have a charge on my bank statement for a credit report I never got. The site
I went to just cut me off after I gave them all my information, of course, and when I called 866-883-3309 the first thing they asked for is my social. I just hung up. What can I do now?- Caller: none
- Terry| 1 replyI got charged on my credit card from these people and called the number. Seems that if you go on line to get the free credit report, they automatically start charging you each month to check that your credit card is not being used by someone else. While this may be a good service, I did not ask for it and I called the number and got it squared away. But I did have to pay for two months service. I told them this was underhanded. No response from them on that.

- Marcy replies to TerryTerry, what number did you use to contact mycreditreport.com? Thanks.
- WilliamThis is why you use a pre-paid card with sites you do not really know, or is not advertised on a tv channel you trust. I was a little septic about the SSN, but that is needed for credit check i think. I always enter the phone number ASAP when an online transaction gives me to call somewhere. that is how i avoided a scam for a free credit card. I was hoping for where the line comes from, but guess i need to sign up for one of those phone tracker sites for this one.
- Belgi replies to MaggieThis is a fraudulent credit report company that has charged my acct 14.95 without my permission and goes under several website names mnicreditreport.com, mni*creditreport.com and so on. MANY variations with phone number the same of 866-883-3309 which is ALWAYS busy. I have reported them to the Attorney General's Office in our state and you should to. THIS IS FRAUD!
- RmillbernAt this time there is an open criminal investigation against creditreport.com. At this time they are not cooperating with the investigation. Please be careful when dealing with them.
- BettyI have received three emails that my account has been cancelled per my request. However, they continue to deduct 19.95 from my checking account. They did the same thing on my moms account. This is a scam and I have to waste time to get them to give me credit for charges on an account I closed.
- Caller: FreeCreditReport.com
- scammedtooOur checking account has been charged 14.95 twice this month, and 19.95 twice this month by this company. When I called to see what it was, I got this long written statement about us being members for a long time, etc. We have called to cancel this several times, it will be stopped for a month or two, then started up again. Today Ren said it was definitely cancelled. We'll see. I think the attorney general is the way to go.
