- rl| 1 replyI've been dealing with Sallie Mae for years. I answered and we talked and they faxed me the forms for a deferment. I've been through this before and the change in my loan status will show up online within a day. They are the real deal.
- avidreader14an auto dialer from this number keeps calling looking for the previous person who had the number. i called the number back, got a very nice person who said she would mark it as a wrong number. the business was listed as "student assistance corp."
- Caller: student assistance corp
- Jason| 2 repliesMy mother received a call from somebody claiming to be Student Assistance Corp., demanding to know my current phone number and address. When she refused, they verbally abused her and even threatened her. She is very old and was visibly shaken after this horrible encounter. It is a shame these thugs are allowed to treat people this way.

- Really...??Called first time, was put on hold for 2mins then call was disconnected.
Called back, immediately on hold again (no options mind you, just straight to hold music)
Finally talked to a dude, asked why I keep getting their calls. I provided my number, and he verified my name (which I did not give him) so they do some have level of information about me.
He wanted to verify my other personal information which I denied and informed them that Sallie mae has no clue who these guys are or why they are calling me. He went on to ask me if I have recently taken care of an issue, I confirmed that it has been month(s) since it's been taken care of, he appologized and mentioned he would contact 'them' to clarify as it has not reflected in their system..
Hmm - Lets see if I get another call, since I've already received two tonight.- Caller: Student Assitance Corp.
- xxxnumerous. ???? no idea. annoying.
- xxxxPain in my a a side
- Caller: ?
- AnnoyedWe keep getting calls from these people too. They also told us that they were with Sallie Mae. They wanted us to verify social security numbers and other confidential info. We told them that they can tell it to us and we'll tell them whether they have the right info. Of course, they didn't have it and we weren't about to release it. Sallie Mae needs to check into this company.

- tim| 1 replygo see your county procuseter office. federal law says they have to start the call as this is "their first name followed by their last name calling on behalf of (company name) is first name last name there ?
failure to do so is a $ 10,000.00 fine per call.
the county will stop any and all calls to your phone.
then as its inter-state go file a charge with the county sherrifs office and then if you have a city police department file a charge with them.- Caller: USA Funds
- AnonymThey are obnoxious jerks. They call every day asking for a person that I never heard of regarding a student loan. They belong in jail!!!!!!!!!!!!
- El_Viejo| 1 replyCall shows up as Toll Free Call. I use a computer program to zap all toll free calls.

- ddThese people are lazy, ignorant and close to being stupid. The computer is never wrong! Right? Ever hear of GIGO (Garbage In Garbage Out). Treat them as debt collector and file complaints with BBB, FTC, FCC and your attorney general's office if you've never had a student loan or it's paid off.
I've been retired for over 5 years. Neither I nor any member of my family has EVER had a student loan. These people don't even have the guts to put their name on CID. Wonder what they are hiding from? - MeGot like 4 calls from this number today. When I called the number back, the lady identified the number as belonging to Student Assistance Services and asked if I was who the ID said I was - I told her yes. Then she says "this call is to inform you that your account is current and has been current since ...". What the...!! I tell her, I'm aware of my account status I've already spoke with Sallie Mae - please stop calling me. What is going on here - I'm trying to work so that I CAN pay my student loans and these people continously harass me for what... absolutely nothing. It would be helpful if they were so adamant about calling BEFORE a new loan comes up for reimbursement and not wait almost 3 months when I'm 60 days overdue. Come on SM... I pay my loans on time EVERY MONTH! So if I'm overdue one week - PLEASE call me then.

- LaurenI am having the same problem with this number calling my house constantly. I just called Sallie Mae as my loan is deferred until 2012. They said they are not the ones calling and think it is a hoax. I wish I knew who I could call or write to get them to stop. She wanted me to verify my address and name. I said no, you have the # since you called me. She said phone numbers change. I said well, I am not verifying anything to anyone on a phone call..goodbye!
- Caller: student assistance corp
- Lauren| 2 repliesTo add to my previous comment. IF you have ATT and have most features, you can do this by adding the number to a list that blocks it from calling you. I am sure they have more numbers but maybe worth a try. I just added them.

- BernieA call and a hang-up today to my "Skype" number. I blocked it and reported abuse.
- aprilmy parents have been recieving calls non stop from these people. I am a 31 yr old women who is stationed in Germany. They call them nonstop and when asked to remove their number the idiot told me they can call up to 9pm by law.He also then told me that he cant remove it from the system. My loans are being deferred, can they not get a freakin clue.
- Caller: student assistance corp
- MaryIndyThese folks are calling me and also have apparently decided that my phone number is associated with someone who has a student loan. It's not me -- I had student loans with Chase that have been paid off for 15-20 years. They also do not leave a message, so I'm not responding to them. After all, I owe them NOTHING. They could at least have the courtesy to leave a message.
- ChrisI have new Comcast number and obviously has been recycled. Caller ID says USA Funds. Likely a debt collector looking the prior user of this number. Have been recieving calls for some else from Sallie Mae and others trying to collect on a student loan. Just need to return or answer the call to let them know and stop calling.
