Won't leave message!!

I have received several of these calls in the past two years regarding a party who I think at one time had my cell phone number. There was a pre-recorded message from Northeast Collection Bureau looking for Brianna Sharp. I believe she lives in Riverdale, IL. According to the recorded message, my call regarded file number 105471. Evidently bill collectors have been trying to contact this individual to get a bill paid. Very annoying when someone does not pay their bills and the next user of the phone is called and annoyed again and again and again, so, I hope Brianna Sharp pays her bill so I quit getting these calls. Again, Brianna, please pay your bill.

what is this in regards to?

They keep calling for another person in my family who I haven't talked to in a long time.  They keep leaving messages for that person and that they are in a prosecuting matter and to call them back.  Well I finally called them back to get them to stop calling.  I also asked for the name of the company and person I was talking with.  His response to calling so many times was, " haven't you ever heard of a wrong phone number?"  He was very rude and wouldn't give me the company name right away.  I had to threaten that I would sue if they called again and by right they have to give me the company name.

You must be a bill collector.

Loud, no identification, very legal-y and threatening "we suggest you do not ignore this notice...contact this office immediately. If you have retained the service of an attorney, you may have your counsel contact this office on your behalf."  
They asked for a person who doesn't live here, and never has. Maybe a scam name to get you to call back? This should be banned!

Oh, yeah, and I've had this number and address for over 20 years!

this number called me and threatened me or my lawyer better call back within 24 to 48 hours to show cause to oppose that somebody is pursuing a civil suit against me and restraining something or another, also court date I was suppose to be at and more, still have it on phone, also did not identify themselves.  I called the number back to see who was calling me. If you are not aware of the laws these creeps break by trying to reach you the messages are very scary and harassing, you feel as though you will be arrested

same here.....female voice...never identified the name of the firm.....demanded I call back with my address, etc. so they could send me "some legal documents" , etc.  reported them to FTC.....If this is legit biz with me, they would already have my address and other information.  SCAM>

They started calling me this week. Same messages left....(pre-legal) type call, etc. All automated. I blocked my number to call them back and the guy was being an a-- immediately. I got NCB out of him and I asked what kind of company it was. He refused to tell me and said he wouldn't tell me till I gave him my info. He started yelling at me!!!! I hung up! I am fed up with these people calling me. Called me from 910-474-0489 and left the  866 # for me to call back on.

scammer......left recorded message...computer voice......they have documents re:a legal situation, etc.  never give company name, etc.  want my address, etc.  Right...I'm going to call some toll free number I don't know.....and give them personal info...if this was a legitimate matter, they should already have everything needed......reported them to FTC Do Not Call....

Wrong number, on this old stale collection.

I hope you realize posting debt-related information about someone with personally-identifying information, as you did here, is illegal. If you want to act judgmental of others, you'd better get your own activity under control.

This number called. I didn't answer it as I never answer unrecognized numbers. They hung up and didn't leave a voicemail. I've seen people here saying it was a debt collector (not sure if it's a legit one or a scam trying to get personal info out of people). And on another site I saw people saying this number involved an Indian caller telling them they had computer problems, again trying to get personal info out of them. So I suspect it's a phishing scam.

This is just the latest in the string of fake collection agencies harassing me. Evans Law Firm is another one. I have turned them into the Attorney General and filed a claim with the Dept of Consumer Affairs. ( It started in South Carolina, now in California)

My mom got one of these calls yesterday. It was very threatening but they wouldnt even say who they were calling for. It had her very upset. She is over 70 years old and she didnt know if it was real or not. Or even who was meant for. They did leave a message on the answering machine because no one was home when they called. The number they left was 1-866-935-2205 but the number on the caller id had 2 lines of number so you couldnt tell what their number was. It started with 928, which is Arizona.      

I hope that Sandra Mason will also pay her bill so I stop getting her bill collecting calls.
