I got calls from this number 2 different days on my cell phone.  No message...  Any idea who it could be?

I have gotten calls from this number 3 times now... No message no nothing, twice in one day and is is really irritating! Apparently the 866 is either a toll free company or its the area code for part of canada...

Keep getting a call from this number...when answered you get a weird tone, then hangs up!

Its a number that is for the WorldVision Organization that helps children in lower-than-poverty places of the world

Its World Vision. In my case its because I recently sponsored a child & they tell me their automated system hangs up if you don't pick up on the second ring.

They are calling to try to get you to sponsor another child.

I think you received the call becaused you recently have something up with WV.

It is a call from World Vision, I answered and it was just a follow-up call to make sure I got my child's photo/information, and the orientation packet. They did not ask for any more money

I keep getting calls from this number as well, started a few weeks ago.  No voicemails have been left.  Well what I'm confused about is that many of you have confirmed that this number is from World Vision child sponsor agency, but I have never sponsored a child & have never affiliated with them before so why are they calling me?? More importantly, how did they get my phone number? Could they have gotten ahold of it from registering/signing up on some website?

I don't like when people keep calling with not knowing who it is
