Called my home and my inlaws home asking for me, and saying it was about a summons.  Told me that I was going to jail for an unpaid credit card bill, and asked me if I knew what it was like in jail?  Said that a bench warrant had been issued.  Would not give me pertinent information.

I received a call at my parents residence supposedly from the county sheriff's office with a summons for an unpaid cc. The gentlemen rattled off my ss#, not asking for it from me. I got off the phone, checked my credit report to verify I hadn't had a Citibank Visa. My brother called to tell me they had also called an ex-wife of a family member for me. When I called back, they would not give me pertinent info, threatened me, and when I became compliant, they became nice. I have the entire call recorded. They are very good at what they do, using words like execute the summons, bond to resolve, and bring you in to make me picture death and/or prison. Please be careful.

claim there was a civil action against me and to call back.  called them back, told them i was going to report them and they hung up.

Called my parents (at an address and phone number I've never been associated with) and said I had to call them back today or they would come to my work and serve me court papers.  When I called the number, the guy who answered asked my name and then asked me to verify that my ssn ended in ####.  Since he basically told someone he wasn't even sure was actually me my ssn, I asked him to send me something in writing to validate the debt before I verified anything.  Instead of answering me, he then transferred me to someone else, who proceeded to tell me that she "can assure you this is legitimate" and if I didn't pay the 9 year old debt (that isn't even on my credit report and is way past the statute of limitations) w/in 3-5 business days I would be facing a lawsuit.  A legitimate company with legitimate motives can put a stamp on an envelope and prove it.  DON'T FALL FOR IT!!

A message was left on my home answering machine for my husband that said that this company was trying to locate an individual [my sister]. I called the company and was told by an inspector that this involves a court case which they can't discuss with me, that it concerns a civil suit against this individual [in a state where she has not lived for at least 6 years and very rarely visits], and that I should tell her to contact the company right away.  I called my sister who said that her credit report has nothing bad on it.  In trying to locate this company on the Internet, I stumble into this site.  Quite fortunately, because my sister and I were stressing out over who could be suing her and for what.

They call our home daily with threats.They told my husband that they have a warrant out for my arrest, and if he paid over the phone at that very moment, they would allow the sheriff to "release me on my own recognizance," and that because he wouldn't agree, the amount owed increased from $900 to $4,000. In another call, the man called my husband a "b***h" when my husband asked for documentation to be sent to us via the US mail. Neither of us remembers having a credit card with Providian, is there some way to check??
They also know the last four digits of my social security number, how is that possible?? I filed a complaint at the FTC's website, will it do any good?

I called a number 8669499516 for my fiance today at 1:51pm central time (we live in Louisiana). I was attempting to take care of his "case (#)" however the young female on the phone informed me that they could not provide me with his information, which I expected but I wanted to try anyway. I realized that she didnt give me the name of the business in which i was calling, which I have been trying to get from my fiance so that I can do a search like this! She refused to give me the name of the law firm and even went so far as to say that I was "playing games". It was not until I told her that it was suspicious that she couldnt give me the name of her firm and that we weren't playing games, that she told me that their name was frederick, goldstein, and zoe. That suspicion led me to google their name as I was going to anyway, way "before" he gave the people his account information! I didnt know for sure at the time but when she was hesistant to provide me with the name of their lawfirm I felt then that something was definately wrong. ---A little background to the situation: they told him it was a credit card debt from 9 years ago and that it had to be paid in full by the end of this month (May) or his check would be garnished.--- I'm so upset. With him for giving that information over the phone without having enough information, with them for being the type of cold hearted scum that makes a living this way, and with the country and government and fair debt collection act from not staying on top of stuff like this, responding to it, and preventing this from happening to people.

3. 1st question is "is the complaint concerning identity theft"
click "NO" then closely related to "debt collection practices"
then "A company other than the original creditor"
4. follow through the six steps
5. review and submit.

Caller rattled off a case number, and a name which is similar, but not the same as my husband's name. They said to call immediately or a summons would be issued.
I believe this same number called us several weeks ago and claimed to be from the Ocean County, NJ court system, but since I work for a lawyer I know they don't use toll-free numbers and they don't make these types of calls.

I received a call today, a threatning call.  The call said I had a warrant for my arrest...

I figured it was a hoax, but very angry that people get away with this type of things...I have reported them, everyone else should.

I received a message today from a lady at 1-866-949-9484 ext. 134.  The lady said she needed to know info concerning my ex husband.  We have been divorced over 11 years.  I called the number and asked for ext. 134.  The man answering the phone stayed on and did not forward me.  I was asked to send a 3rd-party message to my ex husband.  They would not tell me what this was about.  When I told them that I would not forward any 3rd-party message without knowing some info, they quickly hung up.  By the way, they could not pronounce my last name correctly....it is very common.

Fredricks, Goldstein, and Zoe is not who they say they are.

It is really Frederick S. Goldstein who is a lawyer, but he was suspended for misconduct. Look him up.

Yup- They just called my family too. Same thing- I'm going to jail, summons in 48hrs, etc.

The guy who called me is RANDY MASON, ext 153. Please be sure and call these classy folks and let them know how you feel! Maybe we can fill up the voicemail box too? Have fun, world!

These people call looking for someone that I don't know.  I told them not to call again but they did.

This is a collection agency harassing me over someone who was my ex-stepmother from TWELVE YEARS AGO!!!  I have not seen or talked to her in TWELVE YEARS, I repeat myself over and over that I do not see her or talk to her, I have no contact and she is my fater's EX WIFE so they DO NOT Speak??!!??  These calls are harassing and RUDE!!  # TO Call back to was 877-692-4500 and I asked her to remove my # and she said No, not until I give her a contact #???  HELLO... I have not been in contact with the subject for TWELVE YEARS??!!?

i know someone who works for there company they have changed there name from fredricks goldstein and zoe to fgz its just a abbreaction of there company there number is 866-949-9484 the y are collecting very wrong the collect from accounts that are out of stat wich means you should not pay them they have called me on 0ct. 10 2009 saying that they need to speak wit my attorney over a 3000 doller account dont pay if you get a call from fgz i also know there address

These last couple of post that are truley unreal now the person knows  someone who works here and where calling them  for $3000.00 thats garbage We have invested in recording devices which we can track calls this is slander, give me the file number, i 'll remove the account so its not called,  just because we call, that doesnt mean we've violated anybody's rights,, and sure everything is true about our situation with the NY State attrny general, and were handling this, and disputing this,  so u guys think were doing this? u should be doing business with us, because of the watchful eye,, these posts are just slander ,
