Does any one know whhose number this is. They say US bank. When I call back the number is not working

Its a scam. Please don't give them any of your information. They tricked me and now I'm dealing with fees, etc. from the real U.S Bank. They will want you to make a "payment" to your credit card but will try to talk you out of making it online or at a branch. Now they call me like 5 times a day. I'm involving the police.

A woman called my home line saying she is from US Bank. My mom gave her my cell number. A message was left on my cell phone: the woman introduced herself as Leneice??? from US Bank and provided with number and extention 866-952-6297 X2229. She called later on my cell phone stating that she is from US Bank collection office as I was late with the payment and we need to arrange the payment, although it will not be taken right away. She tried to get my date of birth. SHE KNEW MY LAST 4 DIGITS OF SOCIAL SECURITY!!! When I said that I will contact my local US Bank branch, she started pressuring me saying that I will have to pay fines. I reported the conversation to US Bank branch and they said that this is NOT US Bank number. IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!

That number has been calling me 2-3 times a day.  Stating it's "US Bank and not a sales call".  I was concerned because I have had no issues with US Bank and became very suspicious. I'm glad I decided to do research on the number first.  Thanks for the warnings...

I am one of the people working behind that # that you all keep referring to as a scam. This is not a scam & we are employed through a different agency but subcontracted by US Bank to do collections. So for all of you who keep bad mouthing this #. Pay your bills to US Bank & you wouldn't have to worry about collections calling you.

If you are "SUBCONTRACTED BY US BANK TO DO COLLECTIONS" then provide this forum your company's name, address, local telephone number, state in which your company is licensed to conduct business, and the President of the company's name so we can verify you are a true business.

hahahha  "...PAY YOUR BILLS TO US BANK & YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT COLLECTIONS CALLING YOU."  If my 15 years old daughter have to pay bill to us bank and she lives in canada, I,M MADONNA!

oh and it does sound suspicious as hell, it sounds like these people are calling from their basement during commercial breaks. and i cant understand half of them, they sound like they are [***] and you cant deal with them

This company called me first on my cell phone asking me what my last name was. When I asked why, who is this, they hung up. They continued to call my parents and tell them that it was us bank with an urgent message. When I called us banks 800 number they had no record of calling me. Even further they said that the number was not a usbank number and to not give any info. The fraud company continues to call, when I ask for the callers full name they hang up. Sound fishy?

If you are collections then say so! Don't call and leave no message just a blank noise!!!!!!

This is not a valid US Bank phone number nor a third party collection agency.  I didn't owe any money to US Bank so I contacted them. See email response.

Your post should be a guide for the other folks: if everyone send a message to US Bank they will get their security folks, and perhaps federal law enforcement involved and put a stop to this nonsense.  The FCC regulates toll free numbers in the US and can have the scammers service terminated with a phone call.  I would also suggest that each of you file a on-line complaint at the FTC.gov website.  The more heat you put on these bad guys, the faster something will be done.  Last words of advice: if you receive harassing collection telephone calls, on any phone number in the US, you can contact http://centenniallawoffices.com for no cost assistance.

Thank you, I agree.... these calls started on Thanksgiving Day for me.  I just refinanced with US Bank and was so worried I checked online and saw that my payment had gone through.  I always search this website when these types of calls come in as my phone number is not listed.  Thank you all who post and thank you for hosting this site.

I don't think I'll be sending US bank anything. I have had nothign to do with them in over 10 years. All my debts were settled. I don't think you work for them either, I think you enjoy misleading people and yelling at them.

I have a US bank account but I have making payments and it has not gone to collections.  I dont see why these people are calling me.
