They've been harassing me all day - pried a name out of the guy: Phillip. I proceeded to file a complain with the FTC via the donotcall.gov website. I'd suggest everyone else do the same.

They're not a debt collector btw - can't be. I have none to collect. This website doesn't have "Scammer" as a category.

This outfit had called me earlier left a disturbing message that they are ordered to take my car and then called to threatening me tomorrow at my home 9am to 2pm.. I called my bank with the car loan and spoke to the supv and there was nothing "outstanding" with my car loan so he called and that person was studdering in his words.. So I am calling my local police department..

I received a blocked call while I was at work. The guy verified who I was, and then questioned me about a letter from an Attorney I "should" have received in the mail 2 days ago. I asked what he was talking about, then he advised that it was a Civil Suite filed from a creditor back in 2002. Next, he stated that someone from the "law" department was at my house a couple of days ago, but I must not have been home...that he was trying to "serve" me these legal papers. Again I asked what kind of Civil Suite, and just tell me what it was about. He advised that he was not allowed to know what it was about, but I was to call this number: 866-973-5620, and give them the case file number he gave me. I called, and was   told that I reached Kentwood and Associates and I was speaking with their legal department. Cindy then advised I owed a bill from 2002 and the company is now holding me responsible for it. THEN, she advised they sent some legal paperwork to my employer, but it was sent back to them. Then she said it will go out again to my employer, and if I don't act on it within 7 days, they will "attach" my bank account.  Here's the scoop...I'm going to call their bluff. I called the 866 number back when I got home, and told Cindy that I want the ppwork either mailed to my home address, or I want the guy to stop at my house. Let's see what happens, shall we?
