866-976-9501 Is the number, for a Company called Energy Assets; Nice name for a company of SCAMMERS.  Theses people are the group that got a hold of a bunch of VISA Numbers(including check/debit cards), Names; and SSA Numbers. They hope you will give them, your date of birth, your address; your banking information; and passwords.

Actually NRG Assets, collection agency. May be trying to collect on old details debts.

Left multiple messages about 'affidavit' and 'lawsuit' they want to send to my employer if I don't give them any information.
I told them to f-off and now call them back a couple times a week and ask to speak with the various people from whom I've received messages. I ask them "what is the name of your business?", "where are you located?", "what's your name again?", "can you spell that?" They get frustrated and eventually stop answering It's pretty funny.
Nothing but a scam with a bunch of low-life [***]. I hope someday to find someone who actually works for a company like this and ask them if they'd pimp their own mother.

got call/message from 866-976-9501. man gave his full name.
said he was calling about "correspondence that was undeliverable."
no name of his company/who he was working for.
very weird. i'm not calling back of course!

Called trying to gather information this is a scam company. They stated they had received my drivers license number and need more information to process paperwork that it was mandatory we contact them within 24 hrs. Couldn't even tell me what my name was since I wouldn't give it to them.

same as yours David, it is funny no name or anything .like this is an attempt to collect a debt, and they sound so serious businesslike lol

We received several of the same kind of calls when we were gone, we just blocked them through our phone company so when they can call again, they get a message letting them know they were blocked...

Receiving several calls from this number. People who sound all serious/business like, leaves me messages stating that a client gave them my number and file and that I need to call back within 24 hours. They said if I don't, they said something about how I don't want to deal with the situation at all and how they were going to take it to the county/court. I couldn't hear what the hell they were murmuring at the end.

They called me as well.  The new one they used was that they had a 1099-C form that couldn't be delivered and I needed to call before I did my taxes!

I got the same thing....tax information is undeliverable.  Right.

I just got the same call at my work # with message about 1099C being undeliverable.  Whatever!

Getting the same call and message. They don't even bother asking for a specific person, just whoever happens to be listening to the phone. Glad to know this is just a scam and nothing to worry about.

I've been getting several calls daily from a (562) number. I live in California. They never leave messages.  Finally, today a message was left to return the call to (866) 976-9501.  I finally returned the call. The guy I spoke with mumbled the whole conversation how I have attempted to commit fraud against a bank and that if I didnt pay my debt he would report me to the authorities on felony charges.  He also tried throwing out stupid penal codes at me.  He also threatened to contact my employer and have my wages garnished. I've dealt with a few creditors and never have any acted this way towards me. He litteraly did not let me get a word in edge wise. Scary thing is he had my address and the last 4 of my social.  I didn't confirm anything nor did I continue to discuss anything with him.  I finally told him any correspondence needs to be in writing! Thank you very much and have a great day! and hung on him. Haven't heard back so far.

Thy called me ... said they wanted to contact me before my court date ... said it was the payment processing dept ... LOL ... scammers ...

I got the same call this eve on my vm, and it scared me at first, because it sounded so official. I know I haven't done anything, but I really had to think about a few things. But after I came to logic, I realized that it's probably a collection call, and I've decided to really [***] with them during business hours. I'm gonna give them all sorts of [***] information. I may even break down and start crying.

The voicemail I got was stating that they obtained information under my name/SSN and need to verify the address and whether or not I have legal representation. Just another scam using any means possible to try to get information.
I never call back. In fact I don't answer the phone anymore unless I know who the caller is. 99% of the time, they don't leave a message.
