this number claims to be the IRS. They claim you owe money and are in default.   THEY ARE NOT THE IRS.   Do not answer.

They are a total scam

They left a message twice that they were the IRS and there was pending litigation against me.  A lien would be placed on any assets, bank accounts unless I called this number within 24 hours.  SCAM!!!  IRS does not call you.

This is a scam. It's enough alarmist imformation to make you want to inquire. Don't! They just want your information or Money.

Claims to be IRS...they arent

Claim to be with the IRS. They even give ID #s. When I told them about my accountant they hung up. Total Scam.

Called said we owe them money, scam scam scam.

Got the same call claiming to be IRS.  They left a message that lien would be put on assets, etc. for taxes owed.  Interesting, since taxes are done already and getting refund.  Total Scam!!  Do not answer or give any info!

They keep calling and leaving me a message stating they are from the IRS.Someone needs to stop this fraud and shut them down.

They called and left message we had IRS issues I called them back gave them my number. I ask who they were he gave me his name had an India accent. Ask if I was xxxx I said no my husband and he quick hung up.  They were pretty convincing went onto the site found out they were a scam people beware

I want to play a little cat and mouse with these lowlifes.  Can they tell the phone number that is calling them?

This # called and said they were the IRS and i owed them money. Total scam!

I received a voice mail from this # its fraud!!!

received a call from this number and 'ryan walker' claimed i owed taxes and a lien would be placed on my assets.....i called them back and as soon as i pushed back he hung up!

Three voice-mails today from 866-978-7419.  It's not even a good scam.  A scratchy robo-voice tells me the IRS is placing a lien on my house.  Yet they don't provide my name, address, or even a proper government identification.  It's laughable.  I called back and the recorded voice says their website is www.irs.pov (not gov)!  Then a pakistani or indian idiot answers the phone and quickly hangs up when you confront him. Would anyone believe this? Seriously?

I have gotten several calls from 866-978-7419, I called back and ask them who the IRS commissioner was and just just hung up.

I received 3 calls from this number yesterday. She said the same as the call Susan got. Lien on assets and bank accounts for inability to settle our dues with the irs. Called our local police department and they know all about it. It's a scam. Scum bags really get to you though. Oh and she said a collection officer will come to my home to complete the paper work. IRS will not call you or email you or text you. SCAM!!!!!!

Got the same type of call yesterday. Also got a couple of calls 3 months ago. I believe that there scam works like this.
When you call back and you use your cell phone or are using VoIP they put a virus to gain access to your access to your information.
I had been billed twice by third party's on my cell phone bill (Sprint). I believe it was from these people.

Just received 2 calls claiming my accounts will have leans put on if I didn't pay over 3k. When I asked for proof he was from the IRS he hung up on me.

Typical IRS impostor call. Background soundtrack played, making it sound like a busy call center. Caller claimed I was being audited for taxes I owed and would have to provide documents to them. They claimed to be the "legal department" and would review and pass on the documents to the IRS. Caller had an east-Asian- or southeast-Asian-sounding accent, and gave his name as a European-derived name.
I knew that I owed no taxes and that the IRS does not notify you of an audit by phone; they send a letter.
Play along, or hang up. But don't send them any true information or money.
