Trying to find out who's business name of this number

I got a phone call from this number saying that I have charges againt me and to call them back to get the court date.  And you been notify.  I have done nothing wrong.

someone named jenna called me from 877-485-2327 stating that the district attorneys office was about to serve me with a summons to appear to answer charges and that i needed to call her back asap at 866-981-6402. the company name is supposedly american recovery group out of chandler, az. there is no information about this company anywhere online that i could find.

i was given the name american recovery group. cant find them online though.

Well I'm getting Scammed. I got the info and they seemed very convincing. I actually gave them my info.. they have taken about $200 from my account. They call themselves American and gave me a number of 8776019192. I linked this number to the on on my bank accnt draft to the number 9774852327. I am pissed. I was threatened and that's what made me call back. This really sucks.

Well I guess I just fell into their trap. They had me convinced as well. I just want to know how they got my information... Have you been able to do anything about getting your funds returned? I would like to move forward and nail these thieves.

I believe this is a scam as well... They got me (well sort of) to give them 50 dollars to set up a payment plan, so I said "sure, now just send me documentation of whatever debt you are claiming I owe, before my next payment is due so I can see if this is something I am indeed responsible for".   They said ok, but just sent me a generic email with a PDF detailing the payment plan I just set up.  So I emailed them back to tell them to send me info in the mail, with details about the debt... never heard a peep back.  So this week I have called the number that they sent me in the email, telling them to cancel my payment plan until I get something physical in the mail, no answer, I have called a dozen times, left voicemails, and never got a person, or received a call back.  

I called my bank and let them know about it, they deactivated my check card and are going to send me a new one, and if I never receive anything in the mail... I will call back and file a claim for that 50 dollars... I believe this to be a scam.  If you have done the same, I suggest you contact your bank.

I too am a victim, I got caught paying $175 and I would have paid this amount 3 more times until I recieved an email from the original creditors stating what my balance was and that there was no settlement. The #'s I have is American877-485-2327 and 877-2182657 and if you call they say you have reached American and they block out the rest.  I spoke with a Mr. Talbert.  Well I called them and left a message stating they will not recieve another dime from me until I get legal documentation since they are "attorneys".  I feel so stupid. They sounded so convincing luckily they dont have my checking info because I dont have on,..all they have is a debit prepaid card info and I will be cancelling that. If thats the case I would rather be sued,..at least you will know it's legal.

i am a victim as well, they even threatened that if i have my bank recover the funds, they will file additional charges! This is crazy! who can i report them to? My bank has already  deactivated my card and is in the process of getting my money back

It's a scam. I too paid the first installment before researching for myself.
Hopefully, we'll learn from our mistakes!

Hi i was wondering if it ended up being a scam? after you bank gave you the money back did you never hear from them again? I was just scammed by them but my bank is not refunding me my money!

I also received threatening call...gave them my checking info stupidly & now $700 later I have tried to get in touch but no one calls back. I have a total stop on this "American" taking $ out of my account, reported them to my bank as fraudulent charges & my bank is investigating as well as returning my $700 to me. They are very convincing!  I hate people that take advantage of others!
