I got a call from 866-998-2500. EX 6272. A Jason left a message and said it was good news. When I called back, he asked me what number did he call me at. I said what number did you call me at. He said he was a debt collector and needed information to pull up my record. I said NO.  He was very nasty. He said he was from LTD.

Continuing calling and is now giving my home address and asking If I have gotten legal represtation to take care of this matter.. I have blocked the three numbers they have called from seeing if this works. Julie very obnoxious and condescending.

press *77 and it blocks calls from those who don't want you to know who they are.

Got approximately 6 phone calls from this number and everytime it is a threat call about a supposedly "very important matter" of an urgent nature, and saying that I'd better return their call or else...  Also the last one stressed the urgency even more.  They keep asking for the wrong name anyway so we knew something was fishy from the getgo!  We never returned their phone call.

I've been recieving calls for months now for a Michelle Ashori? at number 866-324-5257 and a Nick On shanibi?? at 866-882-5881. I finally called both numbers back and  it was LTD and some other debt collector that i can't recall. I kindly asked them both to take the number off of their list. They were pretty quick and polite. I then get a call today from a Jennifer at 866-2500 ext. 6253 asking for my exact name. How they got my name for this number is alarming because I am not in the phone directory my husband is. I have not called Jennifer back and not sure if I plan to or not. I am just so frustrated with the whole thing. We don't have caller ID wich makes it harder to tag the caller. When we first moved our number was pretty easy to get mixed up. We had callers for all different people and finally it died down...now this!!! Aggggh I answer phones all day I don't want to come home and hear ours ringing off the hook too. So BEWARE I have been researching similar instances and it sounds like a SCAM!!! Don't give out any info not even your name, you might end up paying for someone elses debt.

Just got a call on my voice mail stating they are looking for someone with my name in my area and they were not sure if I was the one they are looking for, as they have several numbers for my name.  My name is not common in this area, so I doubt they were really looking for me.  The message did not give their organization's name and only said it was a time sensitive matter.  Sounds like nonsense to me.  I won't be returning her call.

I continue to get calls from Jennifer and Fred from 866-998-2500, ext. 6+214 & 6257.  *77 does not seem to block them although their # comes up as "out of area".
How can we stop these people?

I got a call from this number as well and left a voice message, the lady name is Mrs Burn, she said that she receive my application and schedule me an interview. so they are tricking people, they are actually a frustrated debt collector. this is invading privacy.

We keep getting calls from this bunch sometimes twice a day and at strange times - even last Sunday during brunch. They've been told repeatedly the person they want doesn't live here but that doesn't stop the calls. Tonight we got two calls in a row that woke me and my husband up. I asked what company the man works at and he said Chase. I said Chase? Then he said Ltd. Not sure if he even knew. Asked why Chase doesn't show up on the caller ID and he said he didn't know; that he wasn't trying to deceive anyone. What a liar! I told him to leave us alone and stop bothering us, and slammed down the receiver. That won't stop these people from harrassing us, but at least he got a hurt ear tonight while doing it.

GO AWAY LTD OR CHASE OR WHO EVER YOU ARE! YOU HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER!

Brandon called AGAIN today for my husband's ex-wife!  She's never had this number (it's been mine for over 15 years).  Unfortunately, my elderly mother and the ex's son gave the first couple callers too much info!  What I want to know is where my number came to be associated with hers!  The caller ID shows NO DATA but Brandon gave me 1/866-998-2500 x6290

The number 1-866-998-2500 ext 6467 called me and left a message saying that I better answer their phone calls or else. That I had discussed an issue with them in their office and hadn't followed up. I never sat down with anyone so I called the number and extension to find out what it was concerning. SO I call and the lady asks me for my last name I give her my maiden first as the caller did not specify which (maiden or recently married). Nothing comes up wtih that then I give her married name, nothing again. Then I give her ss number and nothing in system for that. So she tells me they will remove my name and number from system. THen she goes wait what was the # they called you at, because I wasn't using my phone they had dialed. I tell her the number and she goes thats weird....the number I gave her was in the system but didn't match the Amber they were looking for. THe social secutrity number was different and she asked if I was born in 83 lol!! I was born in 81. So yeah supposebly this is an misunderstanding and they will take my name out.

Ok I have gotten calls many times frm 866-998-2500 and 800-880-5400 as well as 800-642-6806 asking for some other person. I clld the # back let them knw they have wrng #,,coll askd if I knew db told them no not at all and not related. You debtors need to get the hell over it. Pple do give wrng # thats not the collectors fault. Why dont you call them back and just say wrng #, when you dont call back thats when they assume its a good #. There are alot of lowlifes out there that hide behind mommy/daddy and other relatives. I say get over it to all of you!

They called my job today. 866-998-2500 ext6446 and left a message with my boss.  I was not happy at all.  I do not even know who this company is.  I tried the number back and was put on hold, so I finally just hung up.  It is bad enough that they call my cell, but my job - these kind of calls at work could cost me my job.

I went so far as to go to the cops to report these repeated calls.  They gave me a form to fill out that will allow the phone company to tap the phone (not listening, just recording times of calls, and phone numbers)and the idea is that the phone company will send this list to the police, to whom I give my list of times when I receive these calls.  They will then be able to trace the actual phone number they come from. If several of us go to our local police and file such reports, it will START to make a case against these criminals--yes, not just scammers, these are criminals who want to steal money.  By the way, they have my name wrong, too and I think that is part of their scam--hopefully the callee will be eager to call back and correct the name, telling them they have it all wrong, blah blah, at which time they will get more information from you, and hopefully intimidate you.

Also, remember--a legitimate debt collector does not only phone; you would also have received information in the mail about any legitimate debt.  I called and confirmed this with my bank--don't jump to believe you owe a debt if someone who only phones you about it.

I see one message here says "get over it." Blowing it off is why these things are so prevalent.  I don't want to spend my time dealing with it any more than the next person does, but on the other hand, because we all blow it off, criminal scams can continue to become more and more insidious and some people really are caught by this sort of thing.  Unfortunately, those who are caught by this sort of thing are our more innocent and naive friends, and those of us who are more savvy should try to help look out for them.

You ppl need to get over it, pay your bills and you wont get these ppl clling u. You take the money from these creditors and run not thinking you have to pay any of it back cause your filing bankruptcy or dont have a job, you lost your house, good you should since you dont know how to pay your bills. You had fun spending the money, now deal w/ paying it back, selfish people i dont understand way they give you all credit in the first place. By the way they should lock the criminals up that apply for credit and loans and dont pay it back,,,is that not calld STEALING not the ppl who try to get it paid back!!!

LTD Financial is a collections agency.  They have called our home twice after 9pm.  Once at 9:20pm and just now at 9:50pm.  He hung up before I could tell him where to go.

stop calling my friggin house

I am getting calls from the 866-998-2500 and I refuse to continue answer them because they refuse to listen to me. So now they are also calling relatives.  Is there anything someone can do to stop that?
