- Stacey| 1 replyHe said he was w/ american winners international a company w/ publishers clearing house. he gave me a check number, winning code and something to do w/ a sequence number. he said his name is Bob Miller and I won 1.8 million dollars and a mercedes benz. It didnt sound convincing, but I took all the information down anyway. He said the guy w/ western union was called Jermone Mowatt from Montego Bay and use code for western union JAWI.
- Caller: American Winners International
- LUIS replies to StaceyI got a call today from this number 876-390-8974. Claimed to be David Washinton from the Readers Digest sweepstakes department. Said I won $750,000, a 2012 Mercedes Benz, and a trip for 2 to anywhere in the world. Alos said they took care of 99% of the taxes and said I only had to pay 1% of the remaining balance with the prize money. he says all is required is a GreenDot money scratch card, paper version, to pay for the UPS delivery and it was 100% refundable. Of course he wanted the numbers from the card to verify the money was on the card before he setup UPS to deliver. Of course I didnt give it to him. What a load of bull. He could not even give the address to my home to make the delivery. And FYI (876) area code is a Jamaica number. BEWARE OF SCAMMERS. Prizes are free and should never require any money to calim or deliver. Unless you actually get the prize first, then BEWARE OF THE IRS !!!!!
- whatth?Same story as above - hung right up on me when I questioned him - he had an accent I could not identify, but now I think of it, It sounded like Jamaican or Creole, what ever - DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. - He really did not identify the company, MUMBLED SOMETHING LIKE, " WASHINGTON MUTUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTORS".
- AllanMuch the same as above. Got a call from some guy calling himself David Washington from the Readers Digest. Had the same number as everyone here is reporting 876-390-8974. He sounded like he was foreign, not exactly a master of the language and was very short on details. Told him I was in North Dakota working in the oil fields and not in Utah, so told me to call him back when I got home. I didn't want to ask him details, since I felt it was a scam from the start. Sounded like he was answering & making phone calls from his kitchen table. At first, the prize was for $750,000. And almost as an after thought, he mentioned a Mercedes. I acted like I get these sort of prizes all the time, so maybe he threw in the Mercedes toward the last to see if it would get a rise out of me. It didn't. Don't fall for this crap, anyone. If it was legit, we all wouldn't be here, now would we?!
- "Lucky Winner"Same story as above but first told us we won $750k and a Chrysler. Later, repeating what "UPS" said they would deliver today, he said Mercedes Benz. When we questioned him, he changes it back. We hung up then.
- reneeclaimed to have a package from publisher clearing house to be delivered. I hung up. Low life scammer.
- Caller: Claimed to be UPS

- Funny storyWaw dam I got the same call, but soon as I started to question " David miller" that's what his name he told, so soon as started to question him he said " [***] you" and not call the number again.
- Caller: SCAM
- debbiegot a call that said as package had been dropped off at UPS informing me that i won a car ....same story as already posted. when i questioned him, he got rude and i hung up. i googled this number and found these comments.
figured it was some scam...- Caller: he said he was UPS
- SeanI just barely received the same phone call his name was David Miller he was mumbling and I could not understand his accent. He kept asking me if I entered a contest and that I wont 35k and a new car. He told me UPS would deliver it within 25 minutes and I should call that number back long distance to verify my prize. Sounded like a scam and i traced back the area code to Jamaica. Ignored that fact and googled the number, all this came up so I'm black listing this scammer so I won't be bothered any longer.
