I received a call from a man who said he was from Honolulu at about 10:40 AM.  He told me I won 6 million dollars and a new Mercedes Benz.  He said he was my agent to take me through the process of
getting my prize.  I asked what I did to deserve the prize.  He said me and other "good citizens" who pay
their bills" had their names put into a big jar and mine was pulled out.  And all I had to do was to tell him
my bank check number , at which point I said "Goodbye".  I never believed him for a moment, but he
was persuasive and a real con man. "Listen sweetheart, he said, no one believes it, but I'm telling you
    it's as true."

I worry that in these times, people may believe something like that and lose all their money to a
heartless criminal who will steal their identity.

I just received a missed call from the same number, 876-871-9370 but did not answer.
The caller ID said the call was from Jamaica.  No way do I know anyone from Jamaica.

I wonder how these guys got my cell phone number.
I am going to follow up with DO NOT CALL .gov

I too keep getting a call from this number.  I don't know anyone in Jamaica either.  I am sure this is a scam.  I have an 808 number (Hawaii), even though I live in another state now.  I will follow up with Do Not Call too.  Scary!

I kept getting calls from this number to my cell.  My cell is still an 808 (Hawaii) number, but I moved to another state a few years ago.  I finally called the guy back, and told him to stop calling and that I'd already reported him to the FTC.  He screamed and cursed at me.  Definitely a scam - be careful!

my husband and i both received the same phone call but with more details. the man and woman on the phone were very forward telling me to get this green dot card at my local cvs pharmacy immediately and to go home immediately. a tv news crew would be there to interview me ................ as i tried to get as much information as possible on the internet, i found the scam dates back to at least 2006. i then tried to find someone to report these people to since i have their phone number but could not find any avenue and figure the people are calling from a prepaid throw away phone. i too worry about people that do not understand what these people are doing and hope that they do not give out any personal information.

My aunt has been getting the same phone call from a man with a heavy accent last week. He called again yesterday and she finally gave time to listen. He told her, her number was picked randomly and they just needed to get her name because she won 2,500,000 and a white Mercedes Benz. My au t didn't believe him at all and told him it was a scam. He said it wasn't and that he already had a letter and a check all written out. He said he had proof and faxed her the copy of the check. She didn't get the copy of the check right away, she got it the next day which was today. He said she was a winner from "America mega million." My aunt asked who he worked for and he said he couldn't disclosed their company or organization to her because it was private. He was really good in talking professionally and sounded so persuasive. All she needed to do was pay a fee of 2,500 formthr car to be sent to hawaii. She also needed to pay tax fees in order to get her check. I told my aunt it was a total scam as I did my research online. These people are sick! I hope people will become more aware about different scams like this. I really feel sorry for the elderly people who are also a target. The man called my aunt just a couple of hours ago and my fiancée answered. The man demanded to talk to my aunt, but my fiancée told him off. The man stuttered and hung up. I hope he doesn't call back again tomorrow. I heard these con artists will keep calling and bother you.
I also just learned that my father's friend was a victim of this scam and lost $1000.
