Got call offering to reduce card interest rates. I requested Tel number to call to verify rates: gave (877) 212-3634 number.  Caller wanted me to provide him with information regarding my cards, stating that since he was not going to ask for security codes there would be no problem.

Same as last. First caller was Marian, "unavailable unavailable" ID, strong accent. I was resistant and was given 1 877-212-3634 x253. My husband called the bank and was told "Financial Consulting Services" does not represent them. I called the number back and told Elizabeth who answered that we thought this was a scam. A little while later, we got another call from a local number, 321-332-0990, asking for information, again claiming to represent the bank.

I got a call from 402.982.0771 which identified as "Card Services." An automated message said if I was interested in lowering the interest rate on my Visa card, press 1.  When I did so, I was transferred to a number that my caller ID identified as 321.332.0990, and a young woman identifying herself as Pamila Hoffmann (with a very strong accent) answered and offered to lower interest rates on two of my credit cards.  She gave this toll-free number to call back with any problems, specifying ext #267.  This is clearly a phishing scam.

Received an automated call telling me to press "1" to lower my interest rate:  Was connected to Lamiza at extension 233, who had information on my credit cards, including the interest rates, some of the card numbers, etc.   We went back and forth (very difficult language barrier as she has a strong accent) about my skepticism on the services they provide and the pressure to do something on the phone.  Then received a Florida call from 321-3320-0990 from her going over the same things.  Hung up from that call and received a call from "Lynn" who is a manager and her called ID was blocked (I have privacy manager and it caught that one).  She was very nice, but high pressure sales tactics to get you to sign up for something on the phone.  They could not email me anything or send me anything before I made a decision.  Ended up telling her that I couldn't make a decision until I see something in writing, which she plans to send.  We'll see what it is.  Just think it's odd that they have so much of my information that they read to me.

Also odd that she could not provide a web site when asked.  In addition, she said "Listen to this" and I could hear her hit her fist on the desk three times.  She says, "Sarah, that's opportunity knocking".  At that point, I could feel the sh#t getting deeper and told her to send me the info in writing.  It's too bad, because if they are legit, it'd be nice if someone could help consumers to get lower interest rates.  I have never missed a payment, not late, etc., but have one card that has moved the rates up to 34.99%, which apparently is above the legal level of 32.0% (the 34.99% interest rate is through Advanta Bank, who I have called many times and they will not raise the rates.  Normally, I'm in a situation to pay these off, and I say for sure that the banks who are uncooperative with their best customers are going to lose them when things turn around.

Got a call today from 877-212-3634 a person using the name Kean at ext 232. while I was talking to him I did a quick google of the phone number, saw that it was a scam, so I decided to play with his mind for a few minutes until I got him so darn annoyed I think he took me off the call list himself! HAHAHHAHA

Received Recorded call from Heather at Account Services stating I was elgible to have credit card rates lowered to 6%.  Caller id was 402-982-8771.  Pushed one to speak to an agent.  Spoke to Sarah who said she was from Visa and Domestic Card Services.  Sarah asked for the last four of my ss# and my credit card number, which I refused to give her.  I asked her for her phone number which she gave as 877-212-3634.  I asked her for her address and she said Miami Florida and said she had to call me back after she asked me for my home phone which I gave her as 847-733-8907.  Then she hung up.  I called 877-212-3634 and spoke to Rebecca.  I asked for her website to check them out and was told it was under construction.  Then I asked for their name and address which she gave as Financial Consulting Services, International,  616 Corporate Way Suite 2, Valley College, NY  10988.  We then hung up.  Could not find the address in Google Maps.

I just received the call from this same number.....I had a guy to call me back locally from number of  321-332-0990.( I am in the Olrando Florida area)  I told him I wasn't interested and he has threaten me now.....said he was sending emails to ALL my credit card companys and making sure my interest would go up.  I've now had to call and cancel all my cards and hope there is no $900 charge on any of them that comes thru. I did some research and they are calling themselves   Financial Consulting Sevices.   DON"T FALL FOR IT

I too received a recorded call (display number 202-459-7122 - cell phone DC)regarding my Visa & MC accounts so I pressed "1" to see what it was as I was just waking up to this call and a bit groggy yet. I talked with a guy who said his name was Erik Hamt who could be reached at 877-212-3634 ext 265. They did have information on my account numbers such as balances and rates. He told me I'd receive another call to move forward on reducing my rates. I received that call from some guy (missed his name)who was impatient with me as I was looking up my information on my accounts and his company online. That caller ID was 954-889-7371 in Hollywood, FL.
  I have talked with such companies before as I have one credit card through Barclays who jacked up my rate from 11.99% to 32% because I was one day late with a payment as my father passed away last year and I was one hour late posting a payment online this year with more personal tragedies in my life. I will cancel that account as I have the balance down to just above $200. I don't need the services of Financial Consulting Services, and I don't appreciate their tactics even if they are a legitimate company though I have my doubts.
