877-212-7216

We are receiving calls from the above # and other similar number with the caller ID of TOLL FREE.  There is no one online when we answer.  Does anyone know how to put a stop to these calls?

I got a call from 877-212-7216 this morning. They were claiming to be doing a survey for CDC (Center for Disease Control). They asked some fishy questions and asked to interview my wife, which I did not allow. I am not sure if this is a scam or not.

I also got a call from 877-212-7216 today and have gotten calls from them before. They were claiming to be doing a survey for CDC (Center for Disease Control) as well but i have told them at least 4 or 5 times i don't want to and don't have the time to do there survey.

Got same number call - did not pick up - they left no message.

Why are they calling me at 8:40pm on a sunday?

Who are these people and how does one get them to quit calling?

I got a call this AM befor 9 from 877-212-7216. They claimed to be CDC. I informed them that I sleep in the day time. They asked for a better time to call and I told them NO! They said "It would only take 25 minutes." ... I hung up on them.

Have called at least 20 times.  I am on a Do Not Call Registry.  How is this happening.  How do I get rid of them?

I had gotten a letter last month from CDC telling me that they would be calling.  As my caller ID only gave the number and not the name, I did not answer.  Checking here, I saw everyone saying they were claiming to be CDC,  I Googled CDC and the CDC Symbol matched my letter. I called them back and they acknowledged the letter before I mentioned it.  So it appeared to be legit.
They asked some 'screening' questions about phone lines, cell phones, number of adults, etc. So if you didn't know what was going on, they would sound bizarre. It took maybe 2 minutes to determine if the household was eligible.
The bottom line is that I was not a part of the survey, but someone else in the house was.  It was based on birthdays (not age) so it seemed that if your home qualified, they would randomly pick someone that lived there.

These pieces of **** keep calling me every sunday night, usually after 8 PM

This is legit.  I take surveys online and during a recent survey I was asked if it was ok for the CDC to contact me by phone.  I gave my permission and gave them my name and phone number.  However, my son just assumed it was a telemarketer when they called so he hung up on them.  Only one call so far.

I receive this many times, Sunday and evenings mostly,  I have asked politely to be removed from list,  I am no longer polite - maybe they will get the message.  I never received any letter or other request to be included in any surveys.
