Got one today, called back and it was Neiman Ronan & Associates.  Looks to be a bill collector.  They originally called my mothers house number which I have never lived at.  Can't figure out how they can find her number and connect it to me but can't find  me with my name and address.

They called my house to say that charges had been brought against me and that they were filing with my county court because I knew all about it.  I had no idea what they were talking about.  They called while I was on vacation and left a message on my office number even though my extended absence gretting was on.  I called back when I returned and they said that they were just about to put the charges through but I still had time to make a payment to them and avoid legal fees.  I googled them while I had them on the phone.  I asked that they send me the request in writing - which I am entitled to - and they said that they were unable to provide that.  They also stated that because of the time sensitivity that they would not send it even if they could.  They have to be phony!

Same thing happened to me about a payday loan that I owe. The said that they had sent me letters in the mail but never did. I called the original crediter which was cashnet usa and they actually gave me this number. I really don't believe that this company is legit though. I want to pay back the loan but I won't until I receive something in the mail or in writing!

They called my dad and pretended to be a Civil Servant Processor and advised I needed to call right away regarding a payday loan...cashnet usa.  They said I listed my dad as a reference which I know is a complete lie as I only listed my brother and a friend as references.  The woman told me to keep 2 forms of id on me within the next 72 hours. They even called my work today leaving a message saying it was urgent to call back today.  I have never received anything in the mail from them or the people I got the pay day loan.    But I'm like Buddha..I'm not paying for it until I get something in writing stating what I owe...

i got the same thing today and the sent an email just what i owed like 800 when i only borrowed 200 and they said the send me in jail if i do not pay up . i was afraid then i found out it was all a scam because the have to send out legal papers but the address i typed in or told the new york better business burro they said they never hear of that name in kenmore , ny they said there is one in buffallo but the number was all wrong so i say beware do not send anything.

I am still receiving calls from this place. Continue to tell me that my daughter borrowed $400 something dollars orginally, can't even tell us the orginal loan amount of which she says she never borrowed from anyone at that time. Waiting on bank statements at this time before sending any money to this what seems to be scam.

These people called my office five times in quick succession yesterday, demanding to speak to me. The first two times, the guy on the other end refused to identify what company he was with when I asked, instead simply demanding to speak with me immediately. The third time, he said only "NRA". The fourth time, he asked to speak to my boss, and identified himself as being from "Neimen Rona & Associates". I recognized that name, from Internet searches and from my own experiences with them trying to scam me, and so I hung up. The fifth time he called, he again asked to speak to my boss, claiming to be "John from Hunt Real Estate" (it was obviously the same guy). I went ahead and transferred him, and he yelled at my boss demanding to speak to me, claiming it was a matter of Federal law. Oddly, when I demanded to know what this was about, he hung up on me! That's just weird -- going to all that trouble to get a hold of me, and then not talking to me... Anyway, this is simply unbelievable. Even if these people were legitimate debt collectors, that wouldn't give them the right to harass and lie like this!

I recieved a call from this number they claimed to be from the DOJ (department of justice). Then tried to collect money. First stating they couldn't take payment but would transfer me to someone who could make arrangements for payments. Then called my parents scaring them trying to get money from them.

Well they are known for their scare tactics.... A) they do not own the debt,
B) there is NO inhouse Attorney,nor do they work in the Attorny network.
C) Make sure you get the correct amount on the loan/loans....I here they are raising balances 1,000 and plus and getting away with it......That is extortion!!! Think they call it a FELONY!!!!

Received a message on my phone from this Neiman Rona and Assc recently, saying there is a "judgement pendent against" me in my county. (their words). Funny enough, they had called my grandparents a few months ago saying the same thing.  Only that this "judgement" was filed under my maiden name and in their county in another state.

got another call from these people claiming to be from the Dept. Of Justice and was going to have my daughter arrested for this debt which was double the original amount. Claimed she had 24 hours to pay up. Well I will have this info at the ATTORNEYS OFFICE  in the AM. This attorney lives for stuff  like this. Bet they want call here again

Got  call on my phone last night for my brothers girlfriend. They were threating to have my mother aresseted for tax fraud because my brothers girlfriend lives here and ''pays rent''. They said it is not reported on my mothers taxes.. which it is reported every year. They tryed to strong arm us for $1200 payment last night told us we had an hour to come up with the payment. That the payment must be made by post dated check or someone with a credit card. Now being a paralegal I am quick enough to know this is illegal. When I began confronting them about this situation and how the bill owed by my brothers girlfriend had anything to do with my mother they would change the subject and talk in circles. The other key give away this is a scam, there is such a thing called client confidentiality and they were giving me ALL the "DIRT" on my brothers girlfriend... so watch your [***] out there folks these people will try to wear you down and bully you into payment. They have been calling my personal number (which is unlisted for 10 years) they even call my mothers cell, they called brothers girlfriends mom and scared her to death saying they were going to send the police out there if she did not pay the money.  When I informed them that we had been advised by criminal counsel not to pay anything and demanded they send us documentation, the lady wanted to talk to the 'attorney' in question which I refused to give the information as they are a family friend and not representing us. She promised to E-mail the information to us, and instantly hung up. We still have not recieved any email information and after contacting our local DA, check resolution department this morning there is no records showing a case against my brothers girlfriend. The numbers they use are 877-218-6991 and 716-748-8799, the names used by this "NRA firm" as they left the message on my phone is Sharon Carter (attorney) and the legal mediatior Elizabeth. I felt this information needed to be shared and everyone should openly talk about this scam and bully tacts as well as file reports against them with whatever local departments will listen.

Yeah we got a call from Neiman, Rona and associates tonight, threatning to have my sister arrested unless we provided a credit card number with a 5000 limit. That hefer's name was Sharon Carter posing as a boss at this company. Well when I got home and googled the number and name of the business, there isn't one. Wow isn't that strange. My mother is the one who answered the call and they scared her to death. A man told her he was a detective looking for my sister. When my sister got on the phone she was transfered to Sharon, then she wanted the bank account info. Even told my sister if she had a relative with a credit card to cover this an they passed away, then she would be debt free. Oh my gosh! All I can say is watch out people they are big time scammers and we are speaking to our attorney tomorrow!

i got a call one day harrasing me of many ways and then an o riely was trying to make deals , at first i felt scared and couldnt eat they said they will take me to court and for 6 months in jail, but they never send statments even though they say they do. now lets find out if they are real. neiman and rona. If u ask for a name they will change it all the time when u call back in private. if u ask them their name they will say neiman and rona. and not their name. guys whatchout with cashnetusa. they get u and ur in real problems later. i tryed to pay at (8772197774) TRUE OR FALSE GUYS?

According to Erie County court records, Stephanie Lowinger has a new business name; it's Gordon Cappolli & Associates. The address I found is 255 Great Arrow, Suite 4, Buffalo, NY 14216. The person I talked to at the NY Attorney General's office said this was a common tactic of hers -- changing her business name when the complaint volume got too high. I'm posting this in several places to make sure she doesn't get away with it.

They use a program called Acurant something like that. I have known that whole group for many years. Stephanie Lowinger is a straight scum bag with one child that has cancer, very bad. She uses her for a crutch and another little girl ruining their lives. CPS has been after her. She is a coke head, loritab fiin, and collects thousands of dollars in Western Unions from scamming........ The things I know about these people, I could write a book about what they all do on a daily basis and the things I have witnessed myself............... Very sad.

Just put in Stephanie Lowinger in google and read the papers.People ask if these are exaggerated no this is a quarter of what was really going on....
