Not specific or clear in the reason for the call.
Obviously a looser telephone operation.

Not clear, some fast talker woman.
poor manner and likey not to last long if she is a marketer.

Said call during office hours. Called after office sysem said number no in existance. Called fill 1877 number got vm to click 0 to reach operator but thatwas bogus

I keep getting calls on my cell phone frm this company arounf 8 in the vening. I'm told to call this number (877-277-3390) during normal business hours. I'm searched and it's a Canadian/Indian collection agency. I've had this number for over 3 years, but I still get calls for the guy who had it before. They are all from collection agencies. Takard Group is a real pain in the ass.

A lady by the name of Melissa Kirby has been calling and leaving messages on my cell phone from this Takar Group of Companies or whatever it is called. She keeps saying that she is being asked to make a response on my behalf.....Funny thing is she never says what it is about and when I try to call her extension #234 all I get is voicemail. This is apparently not the only phone number that they have cause if you google Takar Group Of Companies there is another number that shows up also and people on there are saying that it is a scam to try and get people to clear up their BOGUS past due credit obligation(s).

they've called twice after business hours- what do they want??

if you tell them to stop calling you-they have to...it is a company that purchased an old block of business from reputable companies, and paid for the lists.  Now they are trying to collect on them and some people don't know any better, but if it is over 7 years old, you are not obligated to pay it...there is a technical word for it, but i can't remember it right now...hope this helps!!

left a message late saturday afternoon told to return the call to 1-877-227-3390 or 1-800-431-4061 when you call it it cuts off with a operator message that makes no sense.  We don't owe anyone and have no credit cards. the male caller kept on repeating it is regards to a important business matter and will need a return call and serious matter and repairable and input??????? WHAT 02/20/09

I got the call today about some "Important business matter". Doesn't say what this urgent matter is.

i have the same message on my phone it was left this morning.From a Mr. Preston Watson from the Tackard group. He told me to call him back at 18772273390 or 18004314061. He also said that it was important buisness matter that could be repaired. Is this a scam or a real collections agency

I just got a call from the phone number.  If they are not authorized to collect in CAlifornia, that's a violation of the FDCPA & they can be sued for harrassment.

I totally forgot about a debt that I had a few years ago.  A lady named Gillian called me from this number to collect it.  She is THE NICEST person I have ever spoken to on the phone.  She doesn't hassle me, in fact, because she is so great to talk to, I call her once a month to pay the bill (unless I forget).  She really looks out for me, and she never asks me for personal information about where I'm working and how much I'm making like the other RUDE companies.  When I call, she knows who I am!  We catch up on the month before while she processes my payment.  

Since I have started making regular payments, my credit score went up 30 pts in the last 2-3 months!  If you have a debt, and someone calls you from this number ask for Gillian.  Her extension is 609.  Tell her Michelle the tennis player sent you!

i received this message two hours after this companies regular business hours.  I called the number back and was sent to a voice mail.  Who is this company and why are they calling me?

I received a voicemail just staying to call back immediately. Cant get through to any number. The website looks pretty bogus.

The Statute of limitations does not mean they can't collect after 7 years.... In the USA the fair debt collection act states they can collect on it for 100 years if they want. However after 7 years they have to stop reporting on your credit report

i received calls to my magicjack voicemail from 'the takard group'.  no explaination, just "you need to call this number back asap." When I called to let them know they had an incorrect number in their files, the woman I spoke to would not listen to what I was trying to tell her (that they had the wrong number).  She was SO incredibly rude that I told her that I wanted to speak to someone else.  She said "It doesnt matter at all what YOU want.  I dont care one bit about what YOU want!"  I could go on and on, but I won't.  After she HUNG UP ON ME, I called the number again figuring that another rep would answer.  I don't think I've complained more than 3 times about how I've been treated by employees but this one made me so steamed that I had to!
