Weird. They had a British accent, and asked for someone else.

They did have a British accent but they had the right name, just strange that I have purposely not bought anything because I can't afford it and everything that needs a credit check I don't qualify for.  Was half asleep when they called because I work nights so I hung up instead of trying to trip over 2 dogs to find a paper and pencil.

I also received the same message. It asked for someone else.

Received a call on cell phone while driving into work this morning at 8:03AM and it wasn't a family member!  Called the 877 number after I got to work at 8:39AM and the greeting said it was the law offices of Mitchell & Kay.  I waited for a rep to answer -he wanted a reference number but told him they called my cell number which he did not have a record of.  Told him not to mis-dial in the future.

They keep calling asking for a paul v junior but there is no one with that name at my home

They keep calling from this number but no one comes on the line when I answer.

This number keeps calling me at 8 am and waking me up.  I'm tired of these phone calls so early in the morning  And they never leave a message.

Same as everyone else. Light British accent and asks for the same name each time. Someone I have never heard of. Several months now.

They are fishing around. They are trying to reach someone in your area that they have no phone # for.
This practice should be outlawed.

First, I have no outstanding debt; I have not had business with them (law office of whoever they are) nor did I authorize them to call me.

Second, my cell phone is on the DO NOT CALL List (and I have this number for more than 3 years).

Third, I am not even the person they were looking.

Fourth, they left a prerecorded message.

CONCLUSION: I am filing a complaint with DONOTCALL.gov

This person has a British accent.  They left a pre-recorded  message.   They are From the law offices of Mitchell & Kay.  Had the same name, but the wrong person.  I have no outstanding debt, and do not owe anyone.   I'm reporting them to Donotcall.gov  and every other government agencie.

They Call On The House Phone While I Was Taking A Nap, When I Woke Up, They Never Let A Message On The Answer Machine Telling Me Who They Are, Who They Are Looking For & What They Needed.

Con't to get calls from this number but automated message when I answer and I'm placed on hold -- they are calling my cell but never leave a message if I don't answer - very tired of them using my minutes when I attempt to answer.

Automated message left on my voicemail with English accent. Asked for a similar name to mine. Googled the law office name (william w siegel and associates debt collection ), it is a legitimate office for debt consolidation. I suspect a phishing scam.

The person called my friends phone and give her my SSN and was telling her to stop playing with him because she was me.

Received a call on my cell phone, British accent computer voice kept saying my name repeatedly. said to call William W. Siegel & assoc. Claimed to be collecting a debt. I googled the name and found a law firm in New York City. ?????  So I'm sure it is a scam like all the other middle of the night, day, anytime annoying calls that we are all getting. I have registered all my phones on the do not call registry, and well I'm still getting calls.So... who knows.
