this company called claiming I had an unpaid medical bill which was now at their collection agency. However, when asked, they cant give any form of detail about the claim, transaction, etc. They are also very rude, refuse to spell the name of their agency or even the clinic where the bill originated. Total scam!

Same thing for me.  Nasty and unrepentant.

They are Trans World Systems an agency that collects usually old written off debts. Sad thing about it is unless you have a collection notice in writing from them they have over 100 offices in the U.S. so it is just about impossible to send a cease and desist letter to them as you would have to send it to the specific office that handles the account. They called here and upon a check of my credit I show no current activity from them so I am assuming they are on a "fishing" trip.

If you can't get any info from them best bet is not to divulge anything personal to them that can be used later against you. File a complaint with your states Attourney General as a collection agency is exempt from the Do-not-call list unfortunately.

Same here, got a prerecorded message from trans world systems. Have no current collection activity on my credit report. This company does specialize in old uncollectable debt therefore they want you to call them back then "bingo" you will have a live person calling instead of a computer. Am going to try filing a complaint but probably no luck as I have no proof of even a debt that they are calling about. Just another "bottom feeder"
