Caller claimed to be from Safeway, and said that they needed to verify my home address. I didn't have time to talk, so I said I would call back, but the caller said there would be no need to do that, which seemed odd.

When I called the number later, the message said I was calling "the data center."

I have not been able to verify that this is actually a Safeway number.

The voicemail I recieved said it was from Vons and that I didnt finish filling out the club card info.

This phone call also claimed to be from "Safeway, the grocery store" (?) and asked to speak with Walt Stevens.  Of course there is no Walt Stevens at my home.  So...then she (it was a woman) hung up when I said there was no Walt Stevens at this number.  Mmmmmmh.

i just got a call from that number, too.  They didn't leave a message but when I called the number it said "the data center".  I have actually recently filled out info for Vons I believe.
