Woman called me on cell phone. I asked her how she got the number. "Maybe one of your friends of relatives gave it to us," which is not possible, and then she launched into her spiel.  Infuriating.

The man said his name was Karl from Dish Network, and then asked how many TVs I had in my house.  I could hear other voices in the background.  The whole thing seemed fishy.  I told him I didn't need Dish Network, and his response was, "Oh, ok." and then he hung up.  Fishy!

I got the call just a few minutes ago, foreign accent asked how I was doing.  I just asked who they would like to speak to and she repeated her name.  I asked again who she would like to speak to and she asked if I was a business.  I lied and said yes.  She apologized and said she would take my number off their list - without even an explanation of why she was calling  - so they are targeting people at home and not at a business - good to know for any future calls, I'll just answer the phone with a business name (when I don't recognize the number)

Seems to be a scam. I believe it is someone in-house at Direct-TV, selling phone numbers. Yesterday, I was searching for alternatives to Cable, and received an advertisement from Direct TV in snail-mail. Looked attractive, so I decided to explore it, called Direct TV, and investigated. Of course, had to give my phone number etc. Did not make a deal, and today, I get a call from "Dish Network" -- caller ID 877-273-3670. I thought it a strange coincidence, call DirectTV one day, get a cold call from Dish the next, and I dont talk to cold callers. But I Googled their number, and got here. I would happily forgive NSA for monitoring my phone if they would track down and send a Predator drone after these pathetic people (and also get Rachel at Card Holder Services.)

Just got a call from 877-273-3670. When I picked up, they hung up. Shady.
