Calls everyday i don't answer.i am on the do not call list.

This is from Zwicker and Associates, a law firm out of Boston that does debt collection for companies like Lowes and American Express.  They have had numerous complaints filed with the BBB for their tactics.  In my case I told the supervisor that I had a terminal illness and could not make payments on my account. She badgered and harassed me throughout the call.  I asked the agent that if her mother was dying, was this how she would want someone to talk to her?  She kept right on railing.

This number calls frequently. However, when I answer, nobody responds on the other end.
I want these calls to stop.  Also, I am on the do not call list.

Steady calls for two months three four times a week as late as 7pm. They dont call my name, just a collection agency wanting to collect money. Asking me or who ever they are looking for to call  back with case number they are issuing and a name of a manager. The name of the collection agency I believe is ngo or nco

They're Zwicker & Associates, a legal firm collecting debts for  companies, i.e., G.E. Capital.  I used to get someone calling me telling me it was a recorded  call to collect a debt, but now they  call & don't respond if I answer.  I hang up each & every time I get them.

I know they're legit, because when I called GE. Capital regarding my bills, they referred me to Zwicker.

They continue to call me several times per day.  I did answer once, they asked for Lisa Bellin, I told them she was not at this number, they hung up.  2 hours later then 6 hours later called again.  I did not answer as I recognized the number.  they call a average of 10 times per week..  this is getting old!

How can I get them to stop?  I put our numbers on the do not call list, it doesn't work, evidently.

Numerous calls from this number, some as late as l0:45 p.m. and as early as 6:30 a.m., also Sunday afternoons, shown as Caller Unknown 877 273 9783 asking to speak to a man I divorced 11 years ago. I have told them on numerous occasions that he never had this number and to remove it from their calling list. I was badgered by one caller to the point that I told him that I was reporting the call to the Attorney General, that I am on the no call list and they are harassing me; that I would file charges against them. I do not answer this number unless I am caught off guard and forgotten to check caller id. Phone always rings 3 or 4 times and disconnects if not answered.  Then call backs several times day and night for weeks.

What can legally happen to me by Zwicker & Assoc if I am unable to pay off debt

The caller stated that the call was being recorded and then refused to provide the name of the company when asked.
I called the number back after the call ended and was told the name of the company is Zwicker and Associates.

I looked it up online and found it was a collection agency.

I keep getting calls from 877-273-9783 everyday 4-5 times a day, 7 days a week and as early as 8:00 a.m. to past 9:00pm and there is no message left. I want them to stop!

I called this number back after receiving a call and reading about a debt collector. They asked me what number I was calling from....I made them tell me ....they should be able to figure that out....they then asked if I was so & so and I said I never heard of them....they said they'd remove my number from their call list but MAY receive another call within 24 hrs. This call was in error on their part. They apologized. "SHOCK"

Whomever is calling me from this number has got to stop.  I'm sick of it.  They call constantly and it is worriedsome.  They don't seem to have any regard for the number of times that they call in a twenty four hour period nor the time of day that it might be.  I'm on the do not call list also but still get these types of calls.  Enough is enough.  What else can be done to make
this type of annoyance go away?  I never answer the calls nor do they ever leave a message.

It's better to try to work worth them because they can offer you a settlement and a payment plan. If you don't they will take it to a court and get the judgement against you, it will include the whole amount plus interest and fees. They can then garnish your wages and take your tax return money, freeze your bank account. Trust me I've been there, they will get their money. If you cooperate you will pay back less. Just tell them you don't make much money they know they will only get a small amount a week if they garnish your wages so if they push to get $100 just say heck no, I can only afford $25 a week, they know based on you salary how much they can really get from you. Don't let them bully you, if they are rude tell them to get someone nicer on the phone you will not deal with them. You didn't borrow money from them, they get their pay check because we are in dept. Be tough with them, take control, set the terms, they can't say no if your giving them a reasonable amount. They would rather you cooperate then go to court. Good luck, just get it over with. It will never go away and just hang over your head. It took me several years, but I'm finally getting there. Got one paid off at a time until I'm just down to my student debt now. But no one is mad at me and chasing me and that it a huge relief.

@ Kristi - that's nice advice... if you have a debt.  I have paid EVERY bill I've ever had in full - the only debt I have is my mortgage - so I don't need a settlement number or a payment plan.  Yet these people call me repeatedly.  However, I've saved the number in my contacts as "Do Not Answer" so I never have to bother.  I have a feeling they're just randomly calling people to scare them into paying something they don't even owe.
