Got a phone call from a guy stating he was from esolving company.
Stated he was calling because my PC that is running windows has an issue.
I told him I did not request assistance.

He wanted to remote into my PC and take care of the issues that are slowing down my PC.
He stated that unwanted files are downloaded to my PC without my knowledge when I am on the internet.

I told him I would have to call him back after I verified the information.
After my search, it appears to be a scam.

This IS a scam.  They want $299 to "reactivate" your "software maintenance".  They will take you to a "page" on your computer for you to enter your credit information.  I told him (he said his name was Nick Anderson with IT Company - gave employee i.d. & said he was the senior System Officer) that if I needed help with my computer I would call YOU, not YOU calling ME.  

They are persistent.  I hung up on them several times and they kept calling back.

My complaint is the same as the other two - someone who say he is calling from our internet provider and said he was a representative from that company. I told him to take my number off his list more than a dozen times but he continues to call. I got the phone number and company name from him, but when I tried to call back the call could not be completed. How can we stop this?

I too, have had problems with these IT people. Since I do not have call blocking on my cell, I saved the phone # in my contact list, and labeled it Scammer. Now when I get calls from these annoying people my phone announces "Scammer" so I won't answer it..

My complaint is the same as the others.  These people call me three times every day.  I have told them to take me off their call list, to no avail.  I finally started checking my caller ID and ignoring their phone calls.  They don't leave a message.  I would really like to know how to put a stop to the calls.

Persistent calls even when I don't answer or have the calls blocked.

They even call at 9:45pm!  No one replied when I answered. I called the number back and just got music.

This is a fake Microsoft support group  that were caught 18 moths ago and continue now. Based out of Karachi, Pakistan - like the Air Duct Cleaners. Try calling any of their numbers back and you get a Not in Service or dropped after one ring.

Don't bother asking for supervisors or taking your name off their list - it is all autodial and they don't care how many calls are repeated to you, or  what you say to them or if you threaten them with DNC actions. The CRTC does nothing about this type of persistent intrusion into our lives.

Just leave the phone on the table / counter and walk away for a few minutes until they hang up.

Persistent calls , [***] start called arround 4am and everyday.

This number keep popping up on both my home phone and cell phone at the same time. I have told these people, who claim to want to work on my computer, to stop calling me I don't need there assistance. Now when this number rings and I try to answer no one is on the other end the line goes dead. I want these people to stop calling me all hours of the day.

Like the others. Said they were "esolving", and please go to our website and download some software. I told them only idiots would do that and hung up.

You are right. This is a scam. Do not let him have access to your computer.
