952-831-4800 was another number used for Financial Recovery Services.  Although the previous user of my current phone number is not related to me, or known to me in anyway.  This company uses multiple numbers to get the same answer from me

A guy by the name of Roy Kimble called from this number asking for a contact number of someone that I used to know. Said it was in reference to a file number and gave me some other names of people he was told to try to contact.(He would not repeat them when I asked) Very weird. Would not say what this was regarding and only wanted info from me.  He did aske me to call back to 877-288-9426 if I found info regarding the person he asked about. NOT!

Some rude chump called me and lit my fire after I asked who was calling. After the call, I googled the number and this among others popped up. This claim is straight from their website; "Monitoring- At FRS, our Compliance Team monitors and scores a random sample of calls that each representative completes. This helps to ensure that we are addressing all workstandards and that communications are conducted in accordance with state and federal laws." I also managed to find their office phone number, where I hope you can complain because there isnt away to complain on their website.

After 100's of calls for unknown individuals, I have started to log calls from these clowns.  They are true scumbags.  They like to intimidate by name-calling. Try to see what you can get them to say!  Let's get together and hassle these [***]!

I just got a call and I can't believe the way the guy spoke to me. I'm too upset to type it but it's along the line of most of these comments. I will say that I was told "I have 400 workers here that will call you" after I asked the guy to take my number off their list and not to call my house again.   What kind of people do this sort of thing, especially a company?

We also recieived probing phone call from one of the above-mentioned numbers from Financial Recovery Services. They were cryptic and never gave any information. I only discovered their identity with a *69 and call-back.

What jerks.  I just got off the phone with one.  They call my business and hung up when I answered the phone. I called the no. back and I believe the guy only said "supervisor". I told him I had just gotten a hung up call, he ran my no. and asked to speak with my employee. I told him she was off then I asked if this was a personal call or related to my business. He said he didn't know. What kind of crap is that. How do you not know what your call is about. I then told him to not call my business again when he starting saying hello over and over like he couldn't hear me. I am not going to be so nice next time.  Does anyone know if charges can be pressed if they keep calling my business?

He is asking for 3000, I'm starting to wonder about this company from the complaints i've heard I shouldn't even work with them.

I've been getting calls from these guys because I have an account in collections with them.  They're not a scam, unless you consider collections agencies a scam (which I could understand).  Unfortunately the only way to make them stop calling (and clean up your credit) is to talk to them and work out a payment agreement for whatever you owe.

These people just called me about my Aunt, who lives in another state. The guy, Tony, told me the company he was calling about and gave me a call back number of 1-877-476-4131, he would not tell me what the call was in regards to. I refused to give them her phone number, plus, my Aunt only just got my home number when I called her to tell her about this, she only had my cell until today. WTF! My Aunt has IMMACULATE credit and does not owe a penny to anyone.

Got a call from 877-258-3415 and talked to a guy named Roy Kimble and he said I owed his client money, which I do, but explaned to them that I am unemployed now and would gladly make the payments when I became employed. He started going off the wall like some bi-polar dude. I tried to calm him but he kept repeating "NO, WE NEED PAYMENT NOW... GET YOUR CHECKBOOK..." So, I just told him that I was unemployed, and bored at the moment, and though it was quite funny to hear him ramble on, so I kept the phone active a bit more and just laughed. Like I told them, I will take care of my debt as soon as I get a job...

Received a call at work looking for an old employee. Told the caller "Ron Stafford" that the employee didn't work here any longer. He asked how long ago the person hasn't been here and if I knew where the employee went. Told the caller that I didn't know where they were. The caller also asked where they were calling. Shouldn't they know this information if they are calling to collect something?

Collection agencies are governed by the Fair Trade Commission and must abide by the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection and Practices Act). I believe these laws include specific hours when they can call (not before 8am or after 9pm). Keep a log of when they are calling. As far as being rude, no real law against that. The definition of harrassment isn't "He's calling, I know I owe, but I can't pay" but more like calling multiple times per day. If they're making threats (other than garnishing wages, taking to court, etc) they are in the wrong. Contact your local State Attorney for help.
