Turns out this is Global Credit--a collection agency that works for Citicard Mastercard.  They are legitimately a collection agency, it seems, and too bad Citicard didn't mail me a statement and avoided the collection agency.  The charge may be fraud but they don't have records back to tell us without going into archives that take 2 weeks.  Yet they could turn it over to a collection agency but can't tell us what the charge was for.  Interesting.........

I, too, get calls from them at work, and have told them repeatedly to stop contacting me by phone. So this time, the guy says "I'll put you down as a refusal to pay then."  That's not what I said.  Asked for his supervisor, who said "We have contacted you by mail and you don't call us, so you're refusing to pay."  Again, stop calling me. ........if I weren't going through an impossibly messy divorce where my STBX is refusing to pay for marital debts he helped create, perhaps this would be taken care of already, but I'm not about to tell THEM that.  Cretins.

A line of BS - "I'm calling about an application sent in.  This is not a sales call or anything like that.  Call me back at 877-295-9643 ext xxxx  today and I'll help you out with it"

It's a collection agency

I received several calls for somebody else from this number. When I called back, I found out
that it was a collection agency called Global Credit & Collection. I found there website
( http://www.globalcollection.net/Consumers.aspx ) and contacted their main number. They
told me that they would remove my phone number from their files, and they did.

Thabo called; pushy, rude, arrogant.  Calling for a relative that doesn't even live at this number.  Horrible.

This company is calling and harassing my parents, who live in another state. Haven't lived with them in over 15 years.

This number keeps calling and when we answer there is never anyone on the line.
