Dell Financial

I received EIGHT calls from this number today. The first one was at 4:48pm. The second call was at 5:50 pm. The remainder: 7:47pm, 8:02pm, 8:11pm, 8:15pm, 8:26pm, 8:34pm

I think that 5 calls in a 32 minute span is a bit much!!

NO messages were ever left. I don't answer numbers I don't know especially when a lot of political calls are being made to my number. Those are all robo-calls.

Got a call from this number, and MULTIPLE other numbers calling themselves "Dell Financial Services" over the past few days.
It's a SCAM!  When you tell them you don't have an account, and they can't find "your account" by looking up your phone number -- THEY ASK YOU YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!

Hey...... these people calling from INDIA, CHINA and other countries. where hundred of call centers are running for getting money by fraud from USA and UK citizens... ITS ALL SCAM...

How it runs..........(for debt collection)

It starts when people tries to get loan online, they fill all their personal detail on that sites and problem starts from this point. all your information is sold to collection agencies (call centers) at $4 to $6 / Person, whether you got that loan or not.

SO what actually they (Call Centers) do...

1. They have all of your information includes: your name, social security number, address, employment detail, 2 references and a detail of amount.( which you didn't get)

2. For dialing purpose call center gets USA or UK numbers. they calls through various softwares (like: ICALL). And have various phone numbers.

3.They hire college students or some people and prepare them to communicate with you. (training classes for getting a bit of American accent) and gives them fake names (American).

4. They makes a write up for leaving message to threaten you. like:-

"This message is intended for Mr. john (your name).  john the very second you receive this msg i need you or your retained attorney to call me back. the issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. my name is ..........., and i am calling from financial accountability association, my call back no. is 123456789, i am repeating this for you john 123456789, john don't disregard this msg and call me on my number back as soon as possible. if i don't get any call from you or from your attorney........ wish you good luck, bye"

5. If you pick up phones ...they will threaten you by saying... that federal govt or federal legislation  is going to pressing lawsuit against you and your social security number. and try to make you remember that you took a pay day loan and never paid it back... so it is very easy to threaten you by saying that "such company falling lawsuit against you for your unpaid loan".
( you don't know for which loan he/she talking about and try to remember your last 2- 3 loans (which you actually got and never paid)).  At this time you stuck in the situation.

(according to my perception you never know "how many loan you took in last 1 or 2 year"- sorry-- joking)

6. They will tell that you are charged against these allegations:-  1. Theft by deception 2. collateral cheque fraud

7. They will tell u that they have sent various mails to inform you but u never replied and that was the only way to communicate you.

8.They will ask u to write a Apologizing letter that “your intention was not bad and you never wanted to run away with that money & you want to fix that issue by paying ..... amount.”


how to avoid them...

1. By telling that you have an attorney (Both criminal and bankruptcy). give any number by saying "call to my attorney"... they won't call.
2. By telling that u know : Its ALL SCAM .......... they will hung up.
3. By telling that its not my social security number....... they will never call.
4.By asking for the date of loan taken (online)........ they can't help you in this matter (by which u can come to know about scam)

Don't be afraid.........They won't sue........

They call my cell phone contstanly, starting at 8:00am,every day till about 10:00pm at night. I never answer, and have no intention of answering.

These scrotes have called me many times the past few days. I am an investigator and I have the means to find out who they are. I am working on it to closes these parisites down.

They've called my house 12 times in the last 2 days. I've never even purchased a Dell so why they are calling me is beyond me.

they are all scam. they asked me to pay 30usd now to bring my dell account balance from 113.67usd to zero. i told them that i need to check my account balance. they said if i paid it today, they could stop calling me. i asked them why it is so pushy here. I dont care about that... it was silence. i hung up. so if you got a call from that number. just hung up your phone.

I have spoken to these folks many times.  I escalated to a "supervisor", who would not take no for an answer.  I told them I'm not going to confirm anything.   I said send a bill if I owe you money.  They refuse to stop pressing me to confirm info.  Isn't there a way to prosecute these organizations?

I was 6 days late making my Dell payment. They got the money now and yet they call 4-5x a day to collect for June 9th payment. The say because I was late in May they have to right to continually call for June. It is still May!! How can a company aggressively attempt to collect a "past due" balance from 6/10/2010 on 5/20/2010. Not only am I sending them a cease and desist, but since after 4 purchases being late 1-2x total in 8 years I will never purchase a Dell computer again.

There reasoning is that because it went past due (even if it was only a few days) they have the "right" to call and collect the following month by a "postdated check by phone".

Wow, many people must not pay at all if they are so aggressive even when the account is current (yes, the have received the 6 day late payment) and payment is not due for another 2-3 weeks! It reeks of desperation and it's just bad for business. I know my rights and they do not have "the right to collect a post dated check by phone for next month" because I was a few days late this month. That is complete bull.

get calls dayly even on the weekends  no messages  about 10 calls a day

got a call from this number twice today, stating they are Dell Financial Services

hung up as soon as the automated voice message asked to verify my last 4 digits of my social security number.

No idea what this number is but they are soooo annoying and call ten times a day!!!!!

I've had calls from this number too....I am not answering it. I do have a Dell account but in good standing...no reason for calls.  Also....I understand that payday loan information does get out to these scam artists.  I've had calls and I've reported them to my authorities.  If I "mistakingly" answer a call(sometimes they look like my phone exchange) I tell them my attorney will contact them.  They usually stop.  I'm keeping a record of all calls and reporting them..We need to find a way to shut these people down....Hopefully they are being investigated.

I just see the number come up on my cell and never answer the 3-4 calls they make PER DAY

I too am getting these calls not  only from this number but about  8 other numbers. I had one that really scared me into me thinking i owed them money . I really did not. But they threatened me with jail , calling my boss which they also had my work number and then they threatened me and my family. I really was dumb and sent them some money just to get rid of them. Now the calls are all the time . I had my phone number changed and I will never again go out on the internet looking for a pay day lone. I have had calls from California, utah wyoing north carolina foriday that is just a few. I have reported it to the police to my state attorney. But you know that is all then no one does anything about this. How many people are going to get scammed before someone does something about it. These people are committing a crime . If anyone is out there that can do anything about this I sure wish they would. This is a crime . Please if you are reading this do not send any thing to these people they are scams. They are the CMG group , American credit cruncher they called themselves  and I do not know all of the other names as I got smart and do not answer these numbers anymore. I wish someone could do something legally with these people.This is a crime both for what they say and then they go thru the phones line. I don't know why the phone companies can not do anything about this . I mean we have the numbers .Especaillly the cell phone company like Sprint and AT&T etc. They need to put a task force out there to try and stop this .

i get calls from this number numerous times a day with no message being left.

they also have another phone number 1-760-932-2732  they say they are calling from Californa Department of Investigation.  Do you have any information on this

I've received several calls from 877-298-0939. I refuse to answer any calls from a number I do not recognize. The caller has never left a message.
