a lady named katy left a message on mine and my husbands cell phones that we has won a cruise to cozemel from galveston.  said she was from inner island promotions.  said it was not a time-share and no purchase necessary.  I suspect a scam and have been trying to find out some information about it.

called and said I won a Carnival Cruise that I registered for...Only problem it was my 13 year old sons number - so flat out false call. SCAM

scam. whoever left message talked really really fast..... i just deleted.

Same thing I got.  Carnival cruise for me and my spouse..I'm single.

Same situation got a call from this number this is a scam

Wow.. they must have several cruises lined up to take all of us for free!.. mm..  got the same call today for a free cruise and a $100 card to drive to Galveston to take the cruise.

They called me too. Sounds like the same people who call from 8772631800. They're going to want you to come in somewhere and bring your photo ID and credit card "to verify its you." From there you'll probably get all sorts of fun charges on your credit card and no cruise.

Same message.  I'm also single and can't for the life of me think of a time that I've filled out some promotional card or been to an event sponsored by Inter Island Promotions.  There are other #'s on this site with tons of info including people that have actually driven to a building in Katy, TX. to actually redeem their prize.  Apparently the Company has ripped ppl off for thousands of dollars and changes their # frequently to avoid harrassing calls.  Not sure how this works but I would steer clear...

Got the same call today as others have. Checked here and sure enough it's the same story. Sounds like a job for one of the TV news hounds to tackle to expose the scam.

Called me for a free cruise.....SCAM!!!

Called and said I had won free airline tickets for me and spouse and $100 in gas.

My phone rang earlier and it came over my caller ID as "restricted" so I ignored the call. They left me a voicemail saying that my entry from last year was pulled and I won a "free" 3 day 2 night stay at a "deluxe" hotel in Orlando, FL. All I had to do was call the number and verify that I won, and that there was no obligation to take this trip. I recently got married, my husband and myself have been to a few bridal shows and entered some contests, and someone similar to the person that called tried to scam us. I deleted the voicemail but not before looking up the number and I'm so glad I found this site, it saved me a headache.

My guess is this is a scam. I feel that I should call back and yell at them, but I don't want them doing something to my number. Not to mention different company names are coming up under this number. They told me America West and others are reporting other names

Got the same call as everyone else. Lee Callaway said I filled out an entry form for a free trip for 2 last year at some event. She also  said I had 2 roundtrip airfare tickets from the closest International Airport  where I live that will go to Galveston and a choice of a Carnaval Cruise or Royal Carribean Cruise to the Virgin Islands for 8 days 7 nights. No purchase necessary, no seminars or timeshares. Most definately a SCAM!

A woman called and left a voicemail and very slow and politely explained that their event had chosen pools this year and we both had won a 7 night 8 day round trip cruise from Carnival or Caribbean Cruise Line. Also including airfare. Dead give away was she never stated her or the companies name or even my name or what event I had participated in.

The start of the message is done in a way to make it sound like the recorded message may have skipped the introduction. Yes I do happen to work for the pools but we would not win anything related to work. The no purchase necessary, no seminars or timeshares was a nice touch. Come on pull my other leg. Wish it had been true but nope not falling for this.

Really appreciate this site. Thanks to everyone who posted. Base on everyones comments I have a feeling that the people doing this scam check this site to see what our comments are and then adjust as needed.
