    877-356-3668 relates to bestpay.ca. Their website indicates that they are a debit/credit broker. If you search whois, you'll see that bestpay.ca is registrant is a company called;
    INKAS Security Services Ltd
                          665 Millway Ave Unit 52
                          Concord, Ontario
                          LYK 3T8
                          ON  Canada
       Phone:             +1 905-660-3025
       Fax:               +1 905-660-8823
       Email:             info@inkas.ca

No idea who that is either and the website 'bestpay" was regeistered in March 2010.
I noticed bestpay's website doesn't seem to supply a business address and the overall appearance seems off a little. Example: the header at the top actually covers what appears to be images of a POS machine.

I think your best bet is to go to www.inkasatm.com and contact them to see if Bestpay is related to them or not. If it is, then ask them what steps can be taken to stop the harassing calls. If they don't help, report to the BBB. Inkas had their logo on the website.

Apparently this INKAS number listed here is No Longer in Use (March 4, 2011).
Our business received a call from bestpay.ca today  877-356-3668
    20-40% rates
They are trying to verify if you have a debit or credit machine (whatever that is).
My concern is that if we had a debit machine, they would know, and wouldn't need to ask.
Be persistent and ask them if this is a sales call or if they are calling about an existing account.
Do not answer if you have a machine or not, and do not verify if you are a company.
The best thing is to frustrate the telemarketer who has been asked to make these silly calls.
This is a SCAM in my opinion and businesses and individuals are WELL ADVISED TO IGNORE THE CALLS, and if they do answer the phone, keep the telemarketer occupied for as long as possible without giving them any information.

Our business received a call today from bestpay.ca, obviously a telemarketer considering the noise in the background.
They wanted to confirm if we had a debit/credit machine, and if we were a business.
I did not answer any of the questions and I persisted in asking if it was a sales call (which it obviously is), and which they strongly denied.  They SAID they were only try to verify if this was a business and I said if they didn't know who they were calling then I wasn't going to verify it either.  When I asked who they had called, she sounded confused, which only confirmed my suspicions that this is has SCAM written all over it.  Another scam.  I urge the phone company TO SHUT THEM DOWN and SAVE US FROM TELEMARKETING SCAMS.

I visited the bestpay.ca site and see no connection with INKAS there.

I called INKAS and they said they HAVE NO DEALINGS with a company named bestpay.ca and they have NEVER heard of it.  The information posted earlier here was INKAS old address.

So, this begs the questions, why does whois show that bestpay is affiliated to INKAs.  Worth some investigation don't you think?

THIS IS INKAS INFORMATION FROM THEIR WEBSITE.

I did recieve a call from them last month. I was able to talk to an agent, Alison Garcia, she is very nice. She was able to answer all my questions regarding the free assessment they are offering for my visa, mastercard and debit transaction fees. No harm done, they just want to know if my business is recieving the reduction in our transaction fees.

I did fax my merchant statement to her attention,I just blocked my  merchant number, personal card number, business card number and other information I do not want to share.

They called me back after 2 days and they just asked me if I like the assessment they did.

This is one of the independent rate brokerage firm in Montreal, Quebec. Not just them but there are a lot of rate brokerage firm like them, calling my business. Let them do the free assessment that they are offering so they will stop calling. Talk to a girl name Alison, she can explain well, how the service works.

Called me last week. They are not selling, no fees, not scam, I think. I had a free assessment of my visa, mastercard and debit transaction fees. Because of the free assessment I knew the full reduction I am entitled to.

What they are doing is OK for me.

This is a total scam.  Most of these companies try and get an "in" with you by showing you have they can "save" you money.  In fact, most Credit/Debit Card processing companies create the most confusing statements/bills you will ever see.  The do this in order to make it very easy to mislead you and hide the true costs of processing these transactions.

Using our accounting team, we did an indepth review and analysis of several providers, and found a 1st party provider that will save us over 150K per year in transaction costs.  After educating myself, and learning some of the questions to ask, none of the several Best Pay agents could, or would, answer my questions regarding these new "discounts" they were talking about.  The reason is there are no legislated discounts of any kind.  They even withheld the types of rates they charge, or to even provide me an example rate,on any one of the @15 transaction types.

My suggestion to all would be this:
    1)  Join a business group that gets bulk pricing for all it's members who use a particular supplier.
    2)  Call around and do some research (it will pay off to be an informed consumer).  Get quotes based upon your previous years' dollar volumns
    3)  Find out what kind of computer program they provide you to assist you managing your POP Machine Transactions.  Depending on the type of business you are in and the types of transactions involved, you should be able to save yourself money.

    Hasaan,
I guarentee you if you add up every bit of cost and fee involved: (including the rolls of paper they could be overcharging you for), the machine rentals, pin pad rentals, the percentage % taken from the transaction, transaction fee for each, and the surcharge fee they as the provider charge you - you are at best breaking even, but more than likely paying more.

Bestpay.ca is an independent rate brokerage firm. They fight on behalf of merchants to get the lowest rate we are entitled to receive. You shouldn't look at this calls as an annoyance. I know most of us will be having the same reaction towards this matter. I myself have been receiving calls like this before and I used to have the same set of questions like what you have. But, really with bestpay.ca you could be assured that you will get your rates reduced. You will be receiving the rates you are entitled to have without the hassle of switching or closing your existing account and opening a new one. Today, I'm enjoying my reduced rates to the fullest. I can spend on things at the same time save my business money. Come to think of it guys, if some of us can, why can't you? We are all entitled to have this rates. We should be grateful about having bestpay do the works. And honestly, there is no fee involved in this. I haven't payed anything not a single cent for the assessment. It's a win win situation you guys. We merchants, this is what we need. WE are entitled to have this. They're not selling anything or soliciting. They're just here to inform us about the industry, on how banks make money out of us merchants. And let's not be rude to the agents because they're just doing their jobs. If you're not interested then simply tell it, not make them wait or go on circles with the conversations. Let's be kind enough to listen and if what they're offering messes up, we could just call them back to tell them how we really feel. But so far, as I know with my co-merchants, none of us really have complaints about their work. I'm speaking in behalf of the many merchants who trusted bestpay and gain benefits from it. God bless us all!

    I call scam!

I had them call several times and each time I tried to call them back on the toll free line. I listened to the elevator music for over an hour just to see if they would actually answer to confirm my suspicions...they never answered.

So the next time they called I explained to them that I was busy at that moment and would call them back ASAP. I asked for a better # to call than the toll free one because I was not able to get through. The person on the other end would not give me a new # he told me that he would call me back at another time. I said no I am tired of playing phone tag but to no avail, I couldn't get a number.

The woman calling us was very pushy and tons of background noise of other pushy people trying to scam.   She lied.  She said she was calling from our debit/credit machine company.  That was completely false.

The entire conversation was lame.  I cannot see how they would lure anyone to do business with this completely unprofessional company.
