- LarbethIts Direct TV. They are very manipulative, You have to be Firm with them to get what you want and not another $50 worth of [***] channels.

- RickIt is indeed a telemarketer hired by DIRECT-TV to sell more DIRECT-TV products/services, operating from a "boiler room" at an unknown location. The boiler room uses an "automatic dialer" to dial existing DIRECT-TV customers. If there is not an agent available to pick up the call when the customer answers, then the customer hears silence, and if the call is returned the customer hears "There is not an agent available to take your call. Please leave a message."
The use of "automatic dialers" for marketing purposes is illegal in Arizona according to the office of the Arizona Attorney General. Unfortunately, the A.G. is too short of funding to follow up, and the telemarketers know this full well, and arrogantly ignore the laws of the land.
It is no wonder that on many consumer blogs rate DIRECT-TV the second most "Hated Corporation in America", right behind Bank of America. Since January 1, 2013 the telemarketer has called my number more than 40 times, and only rarely does an agent pick up the call. It is not only illegal, but it is also ongoing harassment. Requests to the telemarketer and to DIRECT-TV to stop the calls are a waste of time, as many have noted on this website. DIRECT-TV will frequently tell the customer "we have no control over our business partners."
Since becoming a DIRECT-TV customer, the sum total experience has been a nightmare in every respect, including increasing my rates twice without any form of notification other than increased charges on their bill. I would NOT recommend DIRECT-TV to anyone.- Caller: DIRECT-TV

- D in Louisiana| 2 repliesI too received a call from Directv. A woman said for being such a dedicated an loyal customer I am being awarded with an additional 60 channels 3 months, just intime for the holidays for free. She said my call was recorded for security purposes. She also said they would be turned on within the hour. Naturally they weren't. I called my directv to ask what channels were suppose to be added because I hadn't seen them activated yet. The woman didn't know what I was talking about. She said she has no record of any such call or orders to activate any bonus channels. That I needed to call the number back myself an ask them. So I have been an get the recorded message," there is no agent available they are all busy with other customers, please leave a message and an agent would call you back", as others have stated. No calls back. Oh well new number to block.

- Jake HayeI was out of town for a few days. When I got back and checked the caller ID list, there were SIX calls from these bozos. Not one message left. I know it's DirecTV and I'm really fed up with the constant calls from them. I never answer now that I know who it is, and as soon as my "contract" is up, I'm finding a different way to watch TV!

- Samantha| 1 replyI've seen a lot of comments claiming this is Direct TV, guys, its not them. It's just a scam, they are pretending to be Direct, hoping you will call that number back when the channels don't show up and then they can get your account information. Direct TV only calls from 1800 numbers. Please don't fall for this.
